This place will have you waiting hours to be seen! I took my daughter for a walk-in appt today and was told there's a 2 hour wait because all 5 patient rooms were full. Only one other person was in the waiting room. We checked in and waited. We watched several who came in quite awhile after us, get called back after waiting 5 minutes. I went and asked the receptionist why other patients that arrived after us are getting called back. Her response was, "They are the ones who set appointments. " I asked for their policy so I could read over and try and understand this and she just kept telling me, "I'm sorry, that's just how it is". She went in the back and 5 minutes later a provider came and spoke with me who did have a pleasant demeanor, and explained they had 4 to 5 patients in rooms who haven't been seen and that I should be seen before the next set of appointments arrive. She explained she's the only provider back there. We get called back 10 minutes later to a patient room. The medical assistant took vitals and checked us in. She told us there were 4 patients in rooms ahead of us. We waited and waited and waited.. so we decided to get up and leave! Here's my questions, why is there only ONE provider seeing patients at this busy location? (We watched patient after patient come in for a walk in who declined and left after receptionist told them it will be a 2 or so hour wait) Why are appointments ahead of a CHECKED IN AND PRESENT walk in? My family and I will choose to drive the 15 minutes to Sand Springs St.John-Ascension Urgent Care. They do not seem to have an issue with hours upon hours of a wait time.
In and out !! Very impressed with the quickness went in for a urine analysis for a new job and expressed that I had to use the restroom really bad and they got me in within 10 minutes out the door within 25 minutes. The staff was polite and helpful and straight to the point very efficient. . I will definitely go back there if I need to ..
Highly recommend avoiding Xpress wellness. The “Natasha” front desk lady was incredibly rude and unprofessional.
After telling me it would be 2 hours and me respectfully saying “no problem, I understand and will wait,” she goes “you could come back tomorrow at 8am,” and I told her I appreciated the suggestion but I was really sick and was fine waiting the 2 hours to be seen tonight. she straight to my face says “yeah cuz no one cares about me going home tonight” ????
I was floored. You should NOT work in healthcare if you’re going to treat your sick patients like a personal inconvenience to you. I assure you, NATASHA, that no one is going to your urgent care for fun. No one packs up their sick selves or kids and drives to sit for hours for medical treatment because they WANT to ruin YOUR night. Your gross unprofessionalism is extremely uncalled for.
I left to go to the ER instead, where they were fast and kind, mind you!
Our tech was amazing in letting us know what to expect and had to bring kettle brother with me and they was super friendly and interacted with him also. The Dr was also amazing and very informative. I would highly recommend them!!!! They are now my go to
You'd think it was an emergency room having to wait over 2 hours to be seen. ):
The staff were nice but my goodness.
Coming back in to edit: they sent my daughters prescription to the walgreens that was already closed after saying it was the walgreens across the street. Went to the walgreens across the street, and they said they closed their pharmacy since the 25th of October. They then said it's the walgreens down the street. Went down the street and it was closed. Now driving to tulsa when we are already 2 hours from home. This is terrible.. I don't recommend this place.
The care I received at Xpress Wellness Urgent Care was excellent! The staff were extremely efficient and thorough getting me in and diagnosed very quickly. Everyone was knowledgeable and kind and I would highly recommend for any urgent care needs.
Took my toddler in to see Mr. Adam Makin PA. First time urgent care experience. We didn’t quite have an emergency and didn’t want to burden our PCP office with urgency. I was convinced I knew what was going on but Mr. Makin found the root cause quickly and he was right. The facility was clean and well-managed. Each staff member we came in contact with was kind and professional. The booking and check-in process made things very easy even with a toddler. Front office staff was welcoming and even if they were busy or stressed, you wouldn’t know it.
Appreciated the short wait time, once inside the exam room I was treated with respect and professionalism. The P.A. who saw me listened to me intently and asked pertinent questions to come up with a diagnosis. Great job!
