Best WLM Reviews

Super nice interior and patio design in the restaurant, staff is great and super friendly. Recommend hand pull noodles with crispy pork noodle wrapped shrimp ???? (4)…… price is great too …. Total $23…. Simple dish for two ppl
I've always driven by XLB but never stopped in until recently. My wife and I are big fans of Asian cuisine, especially xiaolongbao, as she is from Taiwan. We couldn't resist giving this spot a try, and we were pleasantly surprised by the experience.
The xiaolongbao at XLB were exceptional, with a broth that was rich and full of flavor. It's always exciting to find xiaolongbao that meets our expectations, and these certainly did. However, the standout dish for me was the beef noodle. The noodles were savory and had a subtle sweetness from the sauce, making them absolutely delicious.
Since it was a hot day, my wife ordered a watermelon mojito. While it wasn't her favorite—she's quite the mojito critic—it was still refreshing. The atmosphere at XLB was inviting, and the staff was friendly. The setup is casual, with ordering at the counter followed by table seating, which adds to the relaxed vibe.
Overall, our experience at XLB was excellent, and we will definitely be returning to explore more of their menu. If you're a fan of Asian cuisine, this spot is worth checking out.
I’ve always walked by this place but never stopped until now. It’s been on my list of places to visit, and I finally went. First off, they were packed, and for good reason! They offer a few vegetarian options, and the worker at the front helped me pick a popular one from the menu. I chose the Eggplant with Tofu, which was pretty decent. It had a bit more soy sauce flavor than I expected, but it was still great—well-balanced with a touch of spice.
The interior is small but has plenty of seating. I also want to give major props to the chefs. The kitchen is open, so you can watch them work, and they were killing it! It was awesome to see the behind-the-scenes action. There was a guy and a girl, and they were both amazing! I’ll definitely come back here again—I want to try the Bao buns next time.
We were walking around the neighborhood and were unable to get into a few spots due to no reservation or no kids allowed. We stumbled upon XLB and decided to try it. This restaurant is an order at the counter and they bring it your to your table establishment.
We tried the bbq chicken bao, the pork/cabbage bao and the beef noodles. The bbq chicken bao was dry and we did not like the flavor. The pork bao on the other hand was phenomenal, we wish we would’ve only ordered these. It came with a sweet and sour sauce that was very complimentary to the bao (5/5). The beef noodles were okay but I probably wouldn’t get them again.
The old fashioned was good and my wife’s drink was good. 4/5 stars for how good the pork bao is but I would try other accompaniments. Be prepared, it is kind of pricey for an order at the counter restaurant.
The dumplings and Bao buns were out of this world delicious! Best dumplings and steamed buns we’ve ever had. The Beef Ho Fun noodles were flavorful and filling. The service was very friendly as well. Fresh green tea was available on tap. We loved XLB and would come back any time!
I've been here a couple of times though the first time was over a year ago. Recently went back with a friend since we were craving some Taiwanese food. I ordered the soup dumplings which were good though I think they could have had more flavor. There is adequate seating surprisingly, and service is pretty quick and friendly. Overall it's a good place to grab lunch, casual and filling enough, though I'm not overly impressed. I'd still come back.
This is a very ambiguous restaurant. I came here from many recommendations from variety of sources.
First of all, It’s not authentic. But the origin is definitely there. Would I recommend to other people? I think this really depends on who I am talking to.
My girlfriend is from Chang Zhou, where xiao long bao is originated. She gave a 3-star due to the strong flavor of ginger and green onion.
Personally, I loved everything else, environment, service, and food was decent to me (just very different from expectation).
I wouldn’t come back for myself but would recommend to others!
A little pricey for what you get but worth it for a special treat! Their green beans and five spice chicken were a hit for us! If you get their soup dumplings, sit down to eat them since they travel terribly. :)
