We stumbled upon this restaurant while traveling across the country, and we're so glad we did. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and promptly seated. The restaurant has a spacious layout with plenty of tables.
Halli served us and was incredibly attentive, taking the time to chat and answer our questions. Our food arrived promptly everything exactly as we ordered. I had the skewers, which were very tasty, while my husband enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak with wonderful flavor.
The manager, Mellisa, stopped by to say hello, and it was clear why her staff loves working here. Her warm personality and supportive management style truly shine through in the team’s hard working and friendly service.
We pass through Dalhart a few times a year and will definitely make a point to stop by on our next visit.
I will start with, we’d definitely go back. Service was very good. It was very busy but we’re seated almost immediately. Our server was new but was very sweet and courteous to our needs. We both ordered the Smoked Prime Rib. We ordered them medium rare. My piece was substantially smaller than my wife’s and we both ordered the same size. Wouldn’t deduct a star but for over $50. I feel should get a fair portion size for the price. Our sides were good and plentiful. My wife got the mushrooms and I got the chili. Both very good. Again, we’d go back again if in the area. No one is perfect and believe this probably a one off.
Our waitress Angel lived up to her name, place was busy, but we were seated right away, Angel took our order, (dry county so needed to buy a $3 membership to drink) some beer bread to start with, our food came out fast and hot. Ran into a discrepancy with the bill, charged more than was listed on the menu, Angel took it to the manager and ended up being comped for the item! Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Definitely a will stop again.
My husband claims it's one of the best steaks he has ever eaten. I enjoyed the pork chop. Great location, nice setup inside. Friendly staff and high-quality meat.
Good ka bobs, good tacos, really cool vibes inside, what with the 100 yr old barn wood and all! Great story on the ranch. I’ve never seen, but had heard about the Texas dry county rule, so if you want to drink alcoholic bevs, you got to join the private club either temporarily or for a year! The foods great so you’ll probably be back, so might as well be a member when you get out of Denver !
First time to visit them. The service was VERY QUICK! Our waiter was super friendly they had a live band, and that created such a great vibe just to Dance drink eat and be happy. Made a few new friends as well. If you want to have a blast, visit them on a weekend or during the week. Really great food, great atmosphere, awesome service. If you are visiting Dalhart, don't forget to visit XIT!!
Bravo on the prime rib. Huge portion was enough for two. Well cooked, not over done. Moist and full of flavor. Service was solid and not too intrusive. Did have to join a 'club' to buy a beer but, blame that on county govt.
Came into a steakhouse and ordered a Mandarin Orange Chicken Salad, haha I loved it; the chicken was wood-fired and delicious ???? Just felt like a salad tonight after an 11 hour day driving with my husband cross-country on our way home to Arizona. All the servers were super friendly and efficient.
