Best WLM Reviews
I’ve visited Xing Fu Tang a couple of times, and unfortunately, it hasn’t lived up to its hype. During my first visit, I tried their classic Brown Sugar Milk Tea. While the flavor was decent, it was far too sweet—even for someone like me who enjoys sweet drinks. I usually try the regular milk tea when visiting a new place, but this one was just too sugary compared to other spots.
The second time, I ordered the Passion Fruit Tea, and my friend got the Sakura Tea. Neither of us were impressed. The Passion Fruit Tea didn’t look anything like the pictures, and the taste felt off—again, overly sweet. As for the Sakura Tea, it lacked flavor intensity and didn’t deliver the unique taste we were expecting.
Service was another concern. Although the staff was trying their best, there was only one person making the drinks and another preparing fresh boba. Even with only a few customers, the process was slow, and it felt like the service wasn’t as efficient as it should be.
While I appreciate the effort from the staff, the drinks being too sweet and the slow service have left me disappointed. I hope they make some improvements soon.
Boba’s always made fresh here! Service was quick with the order. Decorum was nice and trendy with wish sticks to give you your fortune (part of decorations). I got their X-Large standard brown sugar special (including tax is $9.49). Very flavorful and tasty! Would come back if I went back to Houston & was craving brown sugar boba.
Ordered brown sugar milk tea, flavor was ok, i was expecting the boba to be warm and chewy (but soft) since they seem to be cooking the boba on site but its not.???? it was hard and cold. Ive had better milk tea with warm boba. The Dalgona however was really good! Place is neat and tidy, the staff are nice.
I would say the main gripe of this place is the price. Compared to the many milktea places nearby this is overpriced. Eight dollars for a large cup. I can get the same size 5 dollars at tea top.
Chrysanthemum tea:5/10 good tea but not worth for the price. It tastes normal and they had a 15 minute wait in making boba
One of the good things is that becausse the price is so high. It’s actually quite empty inside so it’s quiet.
We took a quick stop as my bf loves boba tea. I really wanted to try the soft serve, but it wasn’t allowing me the option to so I got the brown sugar milk tea with oat milk…I definitely regretted it when I tried it. It tasted just like milk with some toasted brown sugar. I’m not sure why expected it to be more flavorful. My bfs drink was the Thai tea and he really enjoyed it, it was much better than mine. For the price of the small drinks, I’ve found better places but the atmosphere is very nice. I am still glad to have tried a new place!
This is hands down one of the best boba teas I've tried! The pearls are amazing—they simply melt in your mouth.
We got a soft serve milk tea ice cream that was skinny and leaning like the leaning tower of Pisa. It was so tipsy that it actually fell over on the table when we slid it. It’s not very sweet and everyone was ordering it. I’m not sure if they just wanted to try it like me or if they were back because they like it. The mint choco drink was watery on top and full of ice. The straw wasn’t big enough to sip up the boba. And all the ice made it hard to use a spoon to get the boba out. The cashier was nice. But: They had no change. They had no napkins (they gave me toilet paper when I asked). And they had no receipts (machine broken). Idk. $15 for a regular boba drink and soft serve. And all that. It just seems wrong no matter how tasty it is. Parking garage is the way to go if you can’t find a spot driving there. Don’t bother circling. Just hit the garage. It’s free.
I am a Huge fan of Xing Fu Tang in Georgia. When i saw it’s available in Texas I had to try it so I can compare the differences. I really don’t want to say but the quality was very low compared to what’s served in Georgia. The menu was different as well. Only reason i gave 2 stars cause the ice cream with coconut milk was fair enough.
