Love the food here! It’s delicious!! I would’ve given the place 5 stars but there is a slight smell to the place. Maybe it’s all the raw fish form the sushi? Also, it’s always very cold so bring a jacket. Will be coming back! Best noodles in San Marcos hands down! Have to try!
I was really looking forward to eating at Xian Sushi and Noodle, but the whole experience was a letdown. First off, the food was overpriced for what it was—definitely not worth the money. But what really pushed things over the edge was that they forgot several items from our order. When we politely mentioned it to them, instead of fixing the issue, they tried to charge us for the things they forgot. That was beyond frustrating and felt like really poor customer service.
I get that mistakes can happen, especially when it’s busy, but how a restaurant handles those mistakes says a lot. In this case, they did the opposite of making things right. For the price they charge, I expected way better service and attention to detail.
There are too many good restaurants in San Marcos to waste time and money on a place that treats customers like this. I won’t be coming back, and I’d recommend others skip it as well unless you want to risk paying a premium for missing food and bad service.
The shrimp and chive pancakes were bussin. I wish they came with a house soy sauce to really push forward the dough of the pancake. I'd come back for these again. Crispy outside, chewy inside, with a perfect amount of filling. The soup dumplings were good, but nothing special. I got the shoyu ramen but returned it (Absolutely no flavor. I should have known better than to order Japanese ramen at a Chinese restaurant), and got the Dan Dan Noodles instead... with the hand made fettuccine style noodle... Yo, 1st of all, the noodles were fresh, deliciously chewy, and prepared to perfection. The soup had so much intense flavor that it was a spicy, tangy, sour, party on your tongue. The out of control sushi roll was worth the try as well. I'd recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Chinese Dumplings, soups, and Sushi. Did I mention the noodle are hand made!! ????
Great attentiveness from our server. My wife ordered the red braised beef noodles - vermicelli style. The noodles were overcooked and mushy. Normally with pulled noodles, you want them a bit firmer and more of a bite to them. We made it aware to our server during check out and she offered to make another order for us to go. That is how you run a business and address your customers concerns! We will give them another try soon.
A great find on our way up to Austin from San Antonio! It was all cooked to order, presented well and very fresh. I knocked down a star for the price - we've been to very similar establishments and gotten more dim sum for the same dollar point. However, the soup and lunch specials were priced well, tasty, and we enjoyed everything! Our server was friendly and attentive.
Wow!! The hand crafted noodles are incredible! The Gyoza ???? was pan fried perfectly and the sauce with them was great. My main dish was absolutely incredible, the spice level was exactly what I was looking for. The salad dressing is perfect, my wife and I loved it. My wife ended up getting Gua Bao pork buns and she loved them. If you are in the area and want some well priced delicious food check this place out!
Nice sushi restaurant in San Marcos! We tried their signature rolls and were very satisfied! Their menu is wide, and you definitely can find a roll that will match your tastes. We ordered Red Dragon, Sumo Roll and Hardee Roll. All rolls were delicious, with a lot of fish inside and delicious sauces. As an appetizer we ordered Takoyaki, this dish was good as well.
Absolutely loved it, CC was a great server, the food was amazing, and overall the atmosphere and environment was enjoyable. Could not recommend the Shumai dumplings enough
