Best WLM Reviews
Great location. Good price. Close to all shopping amenities, restaurants, and coffee shops. The staff is very friendly. The room & bathroom were clean, and bed and pillows are comfortable. However if you need a firmer pillow, I suggest bringing them with you.
If you have an activity at Grand Park, this location is directly across the street. During the busy season, the noise level will increase so be aware and considerate. It was really quiet while I was here visiting family and friends for the holiday.
As advertised, there is no continental breakfast, but you can purchase some food and drink items. They also have a bar and restaurant inside the hotel. While my stay was to see friends and family, I didn’t utilize these amenities so I cannot rate them.
Amazing building with beautiful rooms overlooking the baseball fields and a gorgeous lake close by. Great restaurant in walking distance as well as the grand park stadium. Super clean kitchen and lobby. Nice and knowledgeable staff! Also has huge rooms for hosting events and catering.
The hotel is in a great location. The pool area could use a little TLC and the water was freezing. Our room had a smoke detector that blinked a bright light every 10 seconds. It was very hard to sleep through. We requested house keeping after our first night and we were told no.
Very clean and staff was very thorough and polite. I like that you get made to order meals (no buffets or continental). Upon checking in, the front desk staff was very polite and could tell they really enjoyed their job. They wanted to make sure your visit was as pleasant as possible.
Room was clean and extra linens were available. Beds comfortable. Location right next to Grand Sports Park. They do not serve breakfast on the weekends, which was inconvenient for us as we hadn’t planned on this. There is a convenience store with gas station items. The yogurt parfait was $9. So VERY overpriced. Pool nice sized and nice gym for workout.
The location was great, across from Grand Park and close to restaurants. The rooms were great, comfortable beds, roomy, clean and modern. The noise level was high in the early evening, to be expected with ball players and their families hanging out. As soon as the evening hours arrived they ensured that the noise levels were low and you could rest in peace and quiet. This is our favorite hotel near Grand Park and we will be returning in the future.
Just a couple things to warn guests. The bathroom only has a half panel shower door. It’s odd.
Also for the price we were charged I would have expected 2-ply TP but it was the cheap sandpaper stuff.
They have a restaurant and bar but you can’t find the menu anywhere.
Otherwise the beds were fine, the rooms was nice and no complaints.
Great for playing at Grand Park, lots of restaurants 2-3 minutes away.
This review is around cancellation policies that impact teams here for tournaments, which I assume is a large part of their customer base given proximity to the Grant Park Sports Campus. If you book directly, there won't be an issue if you make changes/cancel within 72 hours. If you book through Site Search, as most do as a part of the stay to play requirement, it increase to 5 days and all changes must go through Site Search. In my case, I called both the hotel front desk and Site Search directly within the 5 day window to change my check-in date to a day later. Wyndham told me they couldn't update it. Site Search didn't get back to me so I emailed them the next day, which put my email in the 4 day window. Long story short, Wyndham refused to make the update sticking by the 5 day rule, most would be understanding knowing I called the day prior which would put me in the 5 day. I've been coming to Westfield for years for both soccer and baseball. Not one hotel has been as inflexible as they are; other hotels realize changes happen once schedules are released. In addition, when I spoke to the manager- I said I would escalate further and she told me if I were to do that, she would cancel my stay. I clarified if she was threatening me to cancel if I continued to escalate and she said yes. Quite unprofessional and I was in shock. In addition, I stood at the front desk and watched them update another tournament families checkout, who had been staying here, so they could check out to a day earlier.
