This property was all around great! Looking forward to going back! We stayed in the Areca building and the room was super clean and modern/updated. We had a beautiful balcony with a view of the pool. Grounds were nice and upkept. Check in/check out was smooth and easy. Although they do send you to concierge and try to get you to do a 90 minute presentation during your stay. We just politely declined and told them we’d let them know if we changed our mind. Pompano beach and pier is a short drive where there are some great restaurants. Casino is across the street and it’s close enough to go to Fort Lauderdale or Miami! The resort itself has plenty to offer and is very relaxing!! We loved it! ????
Well maintained, clean and very comfortable. I will definitely go there again and I have already stayed there twice before several years ago. The place is so nice. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. No issues with our rooms, furnishings, etc.
Check in was swift without the sales pitch hype. Convent location with a variety of shopping nearby. Harrahs Casino across the street! Condos are immaculate and exceptionally spacious. Pools a bit on the small side, but beaches are nearby. There is free transportation to/from the beach. Property is very secure. Wristbands for each member of your party to unlock doors, gates, for pool towels and to access the parking area. Staff very polite and helpful. One maintenance issue was resolved within 20 minutes from my phone call. If you stay here, I think you will be impressed. A car is necessary to fully enjoy the area.
I used my every two year timeshare week to stay at the Wyndham Palm-Aire. I had high hopes of a good stay. I took my son, his wife and 1 yr old grandson. After a red eye flight we were all very tired. I went to check-in at the front desk. The confirmed my reservation and then immediately told me I had to go to the timeshare desk to get our wristbands for the resort. These wristbands had the room key FOB built into them. So I had NO choice in not speaking to the timeshare lady. At first she seemed very nice and understanding of my severe fatigue and desire to hurry and get to the room. She went over a bunch of items. She had me sign up for a "Tour" and charged me $40 on my credit card. I told her I am NOT interested in any timeshare tours. She said I had to pay the "deposit" in order to get the wristbands. So I unwillingly paid it. During the week long stay we mostly stayed in the room then drove offsite to beach and other activities. The room was pretty decent (dated but functional). If I was just grading the resort on the resort itself I would give it more of a 3 star. But the timeshare situation forced me to lower it much more. During the stay the timeshare desk would call and test about scheduling a "Tour". I told them I was NOT interested and to refund my deposit. They ignored my request and kept trying to call and text me to attend. This was very annoying and unacceptable. Why are they even harassing someone who already HAS a timeshare and is using his timeshare at their resort. Shows their desperation and how much a scam timeshares really are in the end. To top this all off I see Wyndham did NOT refund the deposit for the $40 I told them to refund. Now I have to waste my time contesting this with my credit card company. Even the receipt they emailed me doesn't have a number to call to request the refund. You should be ASHAMED Wyndham.
We stayed in a one bedroom deluxe. It had two bathrooms that were pretty spacious. The bedroom was very large. Also loved having a washer and a dryer. The room was clean and I don’t feel like it was dated at all. The staff we interacted with were all very friendly. It is gated. On the grounds are a couple of pools and lots of activities, one day they had free snow cones and another arts and crafts. It was a fun stay for us and our three kiddos.
Cons:
I will say that the grounds itself felt very safe. No problem there. The area however is a bit questionable. The Waffle House down the street had two people shooting up behind the building and a lady selling another lady drugs in the parking lot. Be aware of your surroundings when you are out and about.
The resort was very nice and the staff was very pleasant. The resort itself was dated but well kept. The room was very clean and maintained very well. If I had to complain about anything it would be that my trip wasn't long enough. A plus was that the resort sits right across the street from the Harrah's casino a nice surprise.
The rooms are spacious and clean, maybe a little outdated. Check-in is horrible. They harass you to get you to attend a Wyndham club presentation. Location is great for me (not on the beach, but near many recreational activities. )
Me, my husband, and our 2 young kids. We had an amazing stay, and we would definitely come back! Our kids had a blast at the pool and water slide. Our hotel was very clean, very nice, and completely well stocked. We had nice access to the beach and not too far from anything. Guest services were great, all of the staff were super friendly and helpful. Concierge was fantastic! I literally have no complaints about this stay. We thoroughly enjoyed!
