Best WLM Reviews

Great place to stay. The motel is tucked out of the way, but was overall very clean and even elegant. For a low price, I enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep and a very good breakfast. The shower was especially nice. The staff I interacted with were quite friendly. I will stay here again.
I was initially hesitant since all the reviews painted this place as awful. Even so, we booked 3 days and 2 nights here for 4 adults and and had a lovely stay.
Check-in was simple and quick, and the front desk gal was very polite.
We had a double queen room, and it was very clean and well done up. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was nice with water in the shower easy to control pressure and temp. The one thing I would say is there was a lack of outlets in the room, but we made it work just fine.
Other reviews did mention a smell in the hotel and rooms, and we did notice a particularly strong scent upon arrival, but me and my group all thought it smelled like cleaning supplies and potpourri.
There were elevators available to us, they were just farther down the hall than the staff elevators, so I'm not sure about other reviews claiming otherwise.
As for the breakfast, it was decent enough. Mostly a spread of sausage patties, yogurt, cereal, mini muffins, pastries, toast or English muffins. Drinks consisted of milk, apple juice, orange juice, water(hot and cold), and coffee. Also a station with different teas. I will say the juices were pretty watered down in my opinion. There are also 2 stations for waffles and overall, they were simple enough to use but did get backed up at busier times with lines.
There was a little convenient store in the lobby as well where you could buy various quick meals, snacks, drinks, and personal hygiene type products.
The pool was closed during our stay, but we weren't planning on using it anyway, so it didn't bother us. We also noted a laundry room and ice machine on the ground floor but did not use these either.
The outdoor appearance was a little old and weathered looking, but the inside was pleasant and well decorated, if not a little outdated style wise.
Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would come back for future stays.
After the reading the terrible reviews about this hotel, I was skeptical to stay at this property. Upon arrival we were checked in by a courteous woman. When we walked into the room, it smelled heavily of a sweet spray, but was not noticeable once situated. The room was large with a desk and recliner type chair. There was a refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was much larger than average hotels. We did not use the shower, but checking, it was clean. The bed was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was the pillows were not to my liking. I was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast selection. It had sausage, "real" hard boiled eggs, yogurts, fresh fruits, pastries and muffins, assorted breads, a waffle station and assorted juices, milk and coffee. We were there on a Sunday morning so don't know about the week days. Our room was clean, but the carpet showed signs of wear with a few stains, but not dirty. This was once a top of the line hotel. This can be seen by the reception area carpeting and woodwork. The pool was large, but very humid. I did not go into the fitness area, but saw the room. I would definitely stay at this property again.
The nightmare I experienced at this hotel/motel may never end, as I was overcharged by hundreds of dollars that have yet to be returned to my now overdrawn account. Despite speaking with the manager, a multitude of employees and supervisors at my bank, and the Better Business Bureau, it seems that the funds that the hotel was never authorized to charge may continue to cause unthinkable financial distress.
I’m hoping that the complaint I was constrained to filing with the Better Business Bureau will ultimately prompt this atrociously managed hotel, which happens to be plagued by a litany of issues, including an alarming lack of hot water in many rooms, an undeniable bed bug infestation, malfunctioning heaters, and an ostensibly criminal penchant for inflicting a level of financial turmoil that has manifested physically in severe chest and stomach pain, to start treating guests like human beings and not targets for inhumane exploitation.
There are a litany of quality hotels in the area, which happen to offer comparable rates, so there’s no reason whatsoever to even contemplate checking into this dilapidated slum of a hotel/motel. Avoid it like the plague—unless you’re a masochist who can absorb the cost of substantial sums of money being held for an undetermined amount of time.
Entire lobby stunk of weed at 10 pm when we arrived, first room had a moldy hide a bed so we asked to switch, second room was dirty & the pull out bed was RIPPED IN HALF LITERALLY. There were holes in hallway walls covered in trash bags and duct tape. Management was not helpful or apologetic in resolving issues. Would not stay here. They tried to charge me a $50 incidental fee, and fought with me about the condition of the room claiming we left an excessive amount of trash, until I told them I had pictures of how we got it and left it. Argued with two different staff members and a supervisor, when threatened with photos they dropped the charge.
Just wanted a bed with no drama overnight, and this one delivered.
Good: Bathroom and bedroom counters looked clean. No bed sheet issues. No noises at night. Breakfast was basic but at least you got hot options like boiled eggs, waffles and a toaster.
Meh: Place was pretty old. You would be welcomed with a shattered glass panel at the front door. The only concern was the front desk was only staffed with one person.
The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, it was pretty quiet for the most part. Down side of the room? There was old ramen on the floor next to ac unit. The breakfast options were the same both days, all cold with the exception of waffles and the lines were too long to have kids in tow. The pool was nice and there was a good workout area as well. Over all it was an alright stay but felt like it was lazily run.
We stopped here for one night on a road trip and it’s definitely a crash for a night hotel. The nightly rate was $77 including taxes and fees via Priceline, but when we arrived they put a $50 hold on our credit card - I guess to make sure we didn’t trash our room? I don’t have issues as long as they don’t try to claim that any of the issues in our room were our doing.
The room itself was clean enough, but the pull down shade on the window was broken - both chains on either side were completely torn off. The shower was clean enough, but the spigot was cocked to one side at an angle, which was interesting. Beds were comfortable, but the pillows were the kind that flatten out and get lumpy, so you need two to sleep on.
The hotel had kind an odd smell to it. Breakfast was pretty basic (cereal, waffles, pastries, bagels, fruit, yogurt, and weak coffee) but that’s what you get for under $100 a night lol.
Staff was friendly and helpful when I interacted with them and the location was right off the highway. Not sure if the bar in the lobby is permanently closed or was just closed when we rolled in after 9:00.
