We stayed at the Wyndham a few nights as my daughter was getting married there. The rooms are elegant and cozy and the king size beds were so comfortable! The staff were amazing and always helpful. The wedding took place outside with the beautiful view of the ocean behind it. The banquet room where the reception took place was elegant and beautiful. The staff that handled the wedding were exceptional and everything went perfectly! It was an amazing experience!
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Rooms were updated, spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location is about 2 miles from downtown Newport, but they have a great shuttle service every hour to and from the main strip. Stop by the bar for happy hour/after dinner drinks.
The only two negatives were 1) they don’t provide housekeeping service unless requested the night before. We arrived later in the evening and missed the signs posted in the room. For the price, we felt housekeeping should have been automatic every day (not upon request), but also our fault for not reading the signs. 2) No in room safes. All in all it was a great stay and we will definitely stay here again.
Rooms are updated, and staff was great at check in. However, we got mixed into a wedding block that was raging until 4AM. People were running up and down the hallways all night and screaming at each other. Even after calling down several times, the noise continued unabated. This is a common wedding venue, and wedding blocks are mixed in with the rest of the hotel guests.
My daughter and son in law had their wedding reception here. Everything was perfect. My daughter had very specific plans and the entire management and staff carried out every request. It was like being backstage at the Oscars!!! Thank you.
Great location on the hill overlooking 1st beach. Ample parking and a shuttle into downtown so you don't have to find a spot to park in downtown Newport. HUGE rooms. No carpets which I love. The whole room seems so clean. Plenty of space for a family in the 2 King room. Comfy beds and really comfy pillows. Tons of lighting options, large bathroom, complimentary water daily. It also has a couch, desk, chair, microwave and mini fridge. Great pool for the kids, onsite restaurant, pretty property. Great place to stay!
We very recently had our daughter's wedding here and we can't thank the hotel staff and the fabulous wedding coordinator, Chelsea Jenkins, enough for everything ... from start to finish. The hotel rocks, the scenic view was perfect, the spacious rooms are very comfortable and clean, and the food (every single thing) and service was superb. Great breakfast in the restaurant to boot! It was a remarkable event and time for all of our many guests and, of course, for us. We are forever grateful. Thank you, Wyndham Newport Hotel and, of course, thank you Chelsea. ????????????
We really enjoyed the Wyndham as the site of our wedding reception! The staff were so kind and professional- they made our event run so smoothly and we were able to relax and enjoy! Elaine was especially helpful as our wedding reception coordinator. We would highly recommend for a wedding reception or other event!
Wonderful hotel in a great location at a great price. Central to everything around Newport. Excellent bar and restaurant, outdoor dining with water and sunset views. Very nice pool. Hotel staff are friendly and professional, and very obviously take ownership of their hotel and jobs. One thing to keep in mind, a great hotel can be very busy. There were several late night disturbances during our stay with multiple weekend events at the hotel. The staff handled things professionally, but there was still a bit of before and after midnight noise. Only drawback to what was a wonderful and relaxing stay. The staff at checkout were very understanding and couldn’t have been nicer. We’re looking forward to our next visit!
