The double queen size room was smaller than I expected. The bathroom is small with the lone safety grab bar on the far side of the tub. It's not great for someone who might be unsteady getting in & out of the tub. The first 2 days, the cleanliness was very good. The 3rd day, not so much. The toilet & floor had not been cleaned. I didn't realize that my son had such poor aim! ;) Breakfast is extra at $20.09 per person. We decided not to have breakfast there. (We went to The Coffee Co. It's just 1 block away, and they have a great breakfast.) There is a Starbucks stand in the lobby. I'm not a Starbucks fan, so we didn't get anything from the stand. The hotel location is very good ????. Traffic can be very steady at times, but we were able to get wherever we wanted. There is a traffic signal at the entrance, which makes getting in & out of the property much safer.
After having a HORRIBLE experience with the Hawthorn Suites just up the road my wife and I booked a last minute room with the Lancaster Resort for her birthday weekend. Unlike the previous hotel they were very welcoming, incredibly nice and had us into our room in no time! The hotel was spotless, our room was great and my wife and I had a wonderful evening away from the kids together. I highly recommend this hotel.
Great hotel, clean spacious rooms & bathrooms. Only issue is if your a big person using toilet in some rooms may be challenging as it's so close to wall & no space to actually sit properly on bowl!! Yet there's 2 feet of dead space before the sink on side so not sure who setup that design in that room!
Otherwise great place to stay centrally located in heart of Lancaster & plenty to do in & around the place!
This was a horrible experience. The only benefit was that for the busiest month in Lancaster PA in a weekend this room was $250 per night instead of $300+ per night. The room we got was very small but with much of the same furniture squished in together so that the chair was squished between the desk and the wall. There was also no vanity in the bathroom like the pictures showed and I had to put my toiletry bag in the floor. There was no closet and no luggage rack so our suitcases had to go in the desk. The only flat space available. And though a coffee maker was in the room. There was no where to plug it in except behind the dresser where the tv was which was inaccessible. The room was in the floor around the corner from the laundry room and every other room was marked staff only. ||As this hotel seems to cater to weddings, conferences and retreats if you are part of a larger group you may get accommodations more like is advertised online. But I don’t recommend a single reservation for one room.
We stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and swore we would never come back. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of booking 2 nights this past week and nothing has changed. This is not a handicap friendly facility. We had a handicap room but the bathroom was not. I specifically asked for a step in shower, we had a tub/shower combo with handheld shower head. The shower head was attached so far up the wall, I couldn’t reach it. There was no tub bench to sit on. Therefore, I couldn’t use the shower. The toilet leaked and we had water all over the floor. Towel bar fell off the wall and never fixed. Next time I will remember never to go back.
Very disappointed in this hotel and their customer service. The hotel looks very nice and inviting from the outside and is located in a gray area with lots of food and shopping around it. Once inside it's a whole other story. The check in desk is not near by to the front lobby doors. I walked down a long corridor and found a few white desks with people sitting behind them staring at their phones. None of the guest check in associates greeted me and I had to ask if this was where I check in. There was no way of knowing they worked for the hotel or what their role was. I had called a few days ahead of time to confirm our reservations and we had four rooms reserved for our stay. The lady I spoke with confirmed our reservations and I had asked her if it would be possible for all of our rooms to be on the same floor didn't have to be next to each other, but at least on the same floor would be nice. She said she would accommodate that and notate that on our room reservations. Once we arrived to check-in, we were all placed in not only different floors but different sections of the building, some of us had to get back in our cars and drive to Other Sides of the Building to get to Our Rooms. We had elderly people with walkers, crutches and a knee scooter, and they were not accommodating at all to make sure that those people were placed in areas where stairs would not be a problem for them. When I tried to speak to the front desk associate about this.He was very nonchalant. He did not care about my concern at all and only offered to readjust our rooms and place us all in what he called the basement level and let me know that those rooms were less than quality rooms and that I probably wouldn't like those rooms. When I asked to speak with a manager, he did not get up to go find a manager. He just simply looked around the lobby and said, I don't see a manager here right now. I stood there for a few minutes in disbelief. And luckily during that time, the manager actually did walk up to the front and then came over to address my concerns but he also was very rude, cut me off when I was trying to speak and let me know that they would handle my concerns internally but there was nothing they could do for me to compensate. When I pressed the issue of compensation, he offered to downgrade my room since we had paid for a What they called a premium room and place me in the same building as my parents in my aunt's rooms, but they would not give me a refund for downgrading my room. I let him know that was not okay and asked him. What his other compensation options were and he then told me that he could offer me free breakfast at the hotel, which I was okay with, but then I asked if it was for all four of our rooms and he said, no, it was just for me individually. I finally just left it alone at that point.Because I could see that there was not a win win solution for myself. So I left the desk, went to my room and found the room was very dated, not very clean and had no additional blankets available for the pull out couch that my six year old was going to be sleeping on. We had to leave the hotel pretty quickly to go to dinner for a reservation. But on my way to the reservation I called the hotel 3 times and was hung up on each time when we were at the restaurant. I called another time. Nobody ever answered it. Just kept ringing and ringing. And then I called 2 more times after we left the restaurant. Finally, they answered for me to be able to request Additional towels and pillows be brought to each of our rooms. Overall, I would not stay here again.
The lobby was really nice, but, once you go to your room and reach the hallway, it’s almost like you’re in a motel.
Loved the kiddie room. It could use a vacuum but, wonderful perk for when traveling with kids!
Restaurant server and bartender was awesome! Very attentive. The food was mediocre at best. My husband’s fried chicken sandwich had one tiny chicken tender on a huge bun. Thankfully our kids ordered chicken tenders and fries so they each shared a tender so he was able to make a full sandwich. We anticipated coffee after dinner but the Starbucks was never open. When we asked the front desk if the attendee would return soon from their scheduled “break”, the young lady behind the front desk said it was her and she wasn’t returning to the Starbucks station and advised us that the coffee had been sitting out all day. Meaning, she had absolutely no intention of starting one for a dinner crowd. Ps, it was only 5:30pm.
There is a lovely young Indian woman at the front desk that seems to be the only person up there that understands hospitality.
Front desk area was messy. Some staff was pleasant but others not so much. Rooms were small, the bathroom only had two towels, and the TV remote had no “guide” button. One bright spot was the bartender who was excellent.
