Best WLM Reviews

Do you like falling asleep, no attempting to fall asleep, to the sounds of jet engines and addicts fighting two feet from your room? Do you enjoy cuddles from bedbugs, elevators with no cart, and feeling like you could star in the next shining? Then this dumpster fire of a hotel is for you!! At the mere measily price of $78/night (right now) you can live out all your sick and twisted horror movie scenes in reality for no added cost! Not only are the accommodations littered with sketchy views at best, you’re right off the highway so traffic and jet engines may lure you to sleep. If that doesn’t due the trick, try having a conversation with any member of management, they’re SO lovely, you can tell none of them have ever been laid in their life- let alone been in intimate proximity to another human. I truly don’t think there are enough characters to describe how I’m still trying to clean the grime off myself this place leaves on a person long after my stay. Honestly have no idea how this gentrified, trashy, trailer park of a hotel is still standing. It’s a glorified Motel 6… no that’s too much credit, even Motel 6 would at least leave the light on for me.
Stay here at your own risk. ⚠️ ????????
Avoid this hotel at all costs. There are 4 others within walking distance of it. Staff is fine. I had to move rooms twice. First room the shower temp was scalding hot at it's lowest setting. Second room the ceiling started leaking water onto our bed from a few spots at 2 am. The elevators have been in service the entire two weeks of our stay. When we would try to go to the first floor from the fourth floor it would go up to the sixth floor first every time. Several times on the way back down it would stop and open the doors at every floor. When I asked if there was a quest service manager to speak with I was told, not really, asked what my complaints were, and told they would " let someone know. I emailed Wyndham corporate to let them know it was a terrible experience, and no one seemed to care. For the price, this was one of my worst experiences in any hotel ever. Book at your own risk.
We secured our room for check in after the concert for Sunday night. I called around midnight to confirm we still had a room and would be able to check in, she said yes as long as you are here before 2am, we arrived around 12:15. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk and one other person waiting.
The security guard told us there was no one to help us because the front desk person was now in the cafe to sell snacks and drinks to people. We waited and waited, finally the lady in front of me, went over and asked her to please check us into our rooms.
She came over and handled that lady and then me. She gave us keys to room 451. This was probably around 1:15am we got our keys.
After opening the door to the room, the carpet was filthy as if it had been in a dirt storm with balls of dirty and such as well as white powder all over the place, the tub was dirty and hair was hanging off the bath mat and bath towels, lights were on and the bedding was flipped up on the bed like someone else had already been in there.
We went back downstairs and front desk lady was in the middle of working with another person and saw me come back down...she said what did you need, I let her know the room was filthy, she said, wow they really messed up today, but she said the snack and drink people have been waiting so I have to help them, she walked away from that guest and me....we waited again....after 15 minutes, and now 10 people in line to check in, I wrote on my key cards refund me and set it on her desk, I put my head inside the cafe area and told her to just refund me, we were only going to be sleeping there until 6am and had to leave anyways, we would go to the next town and get a clean room.
She asked me what room number she had given me and she wrote it down and said ok, I will do that, sorry. She was kind, just under staffed and prioritized the wrong things.
I went to the bathroom to change my clothes to begin my drive, and the family that was originally in front of me was in there washing their faces and putting driving clothes on because the room they were given had a guest inside of it already. And the front desk lady had told her there was no more rooms open.
Long story short, I have not seen my refund.
I will say, we stayed Saturday night there for a concert and the room looked like the photo and the room was clean, there was 3 front desk workers and they were kind helpful and fast. We happen to explore all day get tickets for the second night last minute and needed another room again.
I feel like the snacks and drinks were way less important than getting people checked in, since she was the only person.
Sunday night did not go that way!
Won’t recommend this place to anyone. Checked into the room at about 4:45pm heat was set on 64° and the room would not warm up. Maintenance came and put new batteries in the thermostat and said that would fix it. Front desk could care less about issues. There wasn’t even a safety lock on the door only the deadbolt. A lot of missing floor trim from an incomplete remodel. The room was clean enough, but I didn’t wanna go barefoot in my. I think they are trying to improve the property but honestly, it might be too little too late.
I have never felt compelled to leave a review before but unfortunately I feel it is my responsibility to warn others about my experience here. If I needed to describe this hotel in one word it would be DISHONEST. To my understanding, half of the hotel is renovated and nice. The other half is extremely outdated, grimy, and gross. The biggest issue, is that you think you're booking a nice, beautiful, clean room based on the photos of the room when you're booking, and arrive to something complete and totally different. The room that we booked based on the photos shows a COMPLETELY different room, imaging Marriott vs Super8 quality difference. Completely dishonest to put photos that aren't even REMOTELY similar on the booking sites to what you're actually placing their guest in. Aside from that, our room AC unit did not work. Our AC was set to 68 and it never dipped below 72. No cool air was coming out of the vent. The fridge in the room also was very warm and not suitable to keep things from going bad, which was upsetting as we had a nice dinner and were unable to eat our leftovers due to the warm fridge. One of our pillows had a giant X in permanent marker written on it, the carpet was gross, mold on the bathroom ceiling, and a bible verse was written on the mirror which clearly wasn't cleaned from the last person. All in all, our experience was awful. The most disappointing part, was that when booking, we tried to do our due diligence by taking our time to find a good, nice, updated, clean hotel to enjoy our stay. What is so frustrating is that this place just practically outright lied to us when booking by showing and adverting a completely different room and experience to the one we received. I genuinely hope this place can fix its deceitful booking practices, or I assume a lawsuit will be coming their way very soon. Completely upsetting. Please ensure your room is the same as the one you are booking before you reserve. Like I said, some room are Marriott level and others are Super8. We feel very lied to by this place.
I had to bag my own toilet paper for two days. Overflowing toilet at 1am. Showering in ankle deep shower water the entire time. Hollow spots under new laminate flooring and a 5 minute walk to the lobby with medical equipment.||It needs more than a refresh, it needs an overhaul. Staff were mostly ok. Event staff were amazing.
Our stay was pretty good. We were there for a conference and were fed breakfast and lunch and our food was very good. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel and our room was clean. My only issues is that the coffee/snack shop was very expensive. Wanted to charge me $4.00 for a 20oz Dr. Pepper...no thanks. It is very cold in the hotel hallways. VERY COLD!!!
We stayed Thursday May 23 though Sunday May 26 2024 for about $1200 for 3 people. Rates were higher than usual because it was the Indie 500 weekend. Terrible experience for three bills a night. The faucet made a loud screeching that I expect could be heard in every room on our floor when we turned it on. We received no room service whatsoever for the entire four night stay for three adults. Pool closed. No breakfast. Our complaints to the front desk were met with literal blank stares, no verbal response at all. We were told before we got there that they would give us a cot, but when we got there were told none was available. No shuttle service to Indie 500, although virtually all the guests there were paying double or triple the normal room rate for just that.
