This hotel was maybe a b or c level facility but with so much potential if more maintenance and improvements are done. Ice was only available on the second floor, the internet was virtually useless, elevator electronics had much to be desired, and looked like they needed to be repaired in various places with the lights and so forth, there were black fingerprints on the outside of the elevator doors, the rooms were extremely dark and needed some kind of better light bulbs in all the fixtures, and the room was dusty on virtually every surface. On the bright side, however, the flooring seemed to be new, even the carpets, and there were nice hot waffles on the breakfast bar, even Texas-shaped ones! The biggest positive point was the price, because it was about half of what we are used to paying, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
If you can find another hotel, please do. If you're only staying for one night, you'll be okay. Continental breakfast was not good at all. Service was not good. The bed was extremely comfortable. Looking at the lobby, you'd think you're getting a 5 star hotel. No. No. No. 6 floors and only one elevator works. No sheet change and you have to get your own towels if you're staying more than one night.
This was our first time to stay here and we enjoyed our stay . The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was just what we needed to get our day started. Will definitely stay here again.
Pictures speak a thousand words. This hotel was not as described and I will never stay at a Wyndham hotel again. The facility is in disrepair and needs much help. The rooms are dirty and poorly maintained as evidenced by my photos. There was one small bar of soap and a very small shampoo bottle for amenities. No plastic cups to drink from for water. Cable tv is so yesterday. The a/c was loud but seemed to work. Breakfast didn’t begin till 0700 on a week day but had a variety of items to choose from. The coffee was bland but hot and only had powdered creamer for milk options. ATM was out of service. Lobby had furniture piled up on top of other furniture. The lobby Coffee machine was out of service. Bottom line, if you want any a bed to sleep and nothing else, this is for you. Personally, I would not recommend or ever return. This one night did it for me.
This hotel was being renovated. Only one elevator was working. Our large room wasn't very clean and was a little "beat up." One sconce was missing over the bathroom vanity. It was a big step over the edge of the tub and no grab bar. The toilet seat was loose. Amenities included a coffee machine, microwave, and refrigerator. There was no clock in the room. The complimentary breakfast offered coffee, juice, cereal, English muffins or bread for toasting.
This hotel is so much less then it appears as you walk in the lobby. We started our stay walking into a room that had not been cleaned since the last visitor left. They did give us a new room that was fine at least till the next day. When we came back to our room that afternoon room service had thrown all of our belongings away from the bathroom. This included an $80 electric toothbrush of my daughter's. So we are currently arguing with the front desk and the manger because supposedly house keeping did not clean our room. This is crazy we had new towels, rags and fresh bed sheets. They clam we must have just lost all of our personal belongings. This place is a joke no hot water and the smell of skunk weed is in every hall of the hotel.
First I’m a Wyndham rewards member but no idea of my number nor was the front desk helpful in determining it. I took numerous photos of my room if someone wants to see them, I can forward them. This hotel is dark and dank. Reminded me of slum project housing. The elevator needs serviced and inspected, loose panel and an inoperable panel on the one side. The rooms were loud, no acoustic suppression at all. Room was also dark, carpet very old, small tv. BUT THE BIG KICKER TO THIS!!! Was the plethora of urine covering the toilet. And then there was the safety pin embedded in the carpet. The bedside table had some dried spilled drink residue. The bed appeared clean. Did I spend the night? Yes, I was exhausted from being on the road 16 hours. Will I ever book at this hotel again? NEVER. I’d also booked through a 3rd party site and getting any changes accomplished would have been problematic. I stayed approximately 5 hours, 4 of which I slept. I got up and left at 0300hrs. On May way, out, I was GREETED BY AN OPOSSUM AT THE FRONT DOOR. I mentioned to the clerk about the opossum and he said something to the effect of “Oh that’s Fred, he’s always out there”. I grew up on a farm so I wasn’t scared of it but it sure did surprise me. I even got the critter’s photo. I’m used to the Wyndham in College Station TX and was anticipating something similar. I was in the Army for 31 years so I’ve stayed in some pretty seedy places in foreign lands. This place reminded me of a hotel I stayed at in Serbian controlled Croatia in 1994 during the war…yes the Wyndham Texarkana was bad enough to give me a flashback. Sure hope I didn’t get bed bugs from this stay.
Drive on by! Do not stop! Roaches! Dirty! Had it not been so late we would have left. The room smelled like dirt. It was dirty. The carpet was sticky and made the bottoms of our feet black after the shower. We woke up to roaches crawling around and we brought zero food to the room. There were roaches in the hall when we went down to get some coffee. They had no creamer for the coffee and were 15 minutes late opening the breakfast area. Wyndam should be ashamed their name is on this place.
