Best WLM Reviews

This is one of the friendliest place I’ve ever stayed at! The staff is so nice and helpful very responsive with everything I asked for. I wish other hotels was like this! My room was so clean spotless the bathroom also was clean. I was very comfortable. It was quiet also, I like that! And housekeeping is a plus they was really nice and helped me out with stuff that I needed. I will definitely stay here again.
I typically don’t leave reviews, but my experience at Wyndham Garden North Bergen was so awful that I feel obligated to warn others. The customer service was the worst I’ve ever encountered.
A week prior to my trip, I was assured on the phone that I could check in at 12:00 for free with no issues. However, upon arrival, I was told it would cost $75. This blatant misinformation was frustrating enough, but the woman at the front desk made the situation exponentially worse.
She was by far the rudest receptionist I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Her attitude was appalling—she was unhelpful, dismissive, and seemed completely unwilling to assist me or my group. It was as if we were an inconvenience just by being there.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone—not even my worst enemy. Save yourself the frustration and book somewhere else.
Great stay. Quiet location and friendly staff. The room layout was a bit weird. The bathroom was right inside the front door, and the shower and toilet was as well. Pretty much, if you are using the bathroom you can't have anyone enter or exit the room without compromising privacy. Also, the sliding barn-style door that separated the bathroom from the bedroom area was not well hung. Felt like it was going to fall off the rails every time we shut and opened the door.
Aside from that, everything was ideal. Room was clean, beds were comfy, and hotel was safe and quiet. Parking was included and safe.
Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. Missed a connection flight and United gave me this option which was the closest to EWR. Front desk person was nice and helpful but overwhelmed the whole night taking care of 10 guests every time I came to lobby. Coffee machine broke in lobby, elevator smelled like cigarettes, carpeting on floor looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks, room was 50 degrees when I got in, just cable on TV’s. It is the absolute bare minimum of a hotel and clearly run and operated on the smallest of margins
This hotel is just lovely, the staff are great and there’s everything you need. It’s 20 min taxi into time square but the bus service is easy and right by the hotel 3 dollars each. We got the bus everyday into time square but a taxi back. Your better using the uber app on your phone for a taxi so your not ripped off(as they do come up with their own prices)
was okay i guess. no microwave in the room which was odd, and the fire alarm went off at 8am. customer service was not great, and said the fire alarm went off “due to a false alarm and cold weather”. that’s super funny because how are you gonna be a hotel in NJ and NOT HAVE A FIRE SYSTEM THAT FUNCTIONS PROPERLY IN COLD WEATHER LOL. shuttle service was nice.
Do not book at this location. They use Third Party Vendors such as ReservationDesk.com who falsely advertise rooms as two queen beds and when you receive the confirmation it states only one bed is available at this unit. Then when you discuss this they dispute the fact that they sent an email stating one bed. Thank goodness for screen shots!! Save yourself a lot of headaches and stay at a reputable hotel that handles their own reservations and does not take the cheap route with third party vendors with employees located overseas speaking little to no English.
Luckily I didn't read the reviews here before staying. The rooms were clean and fairly modern, the layout is slightly different to a normal room but it works absolutely fine. The hallways are well worn but unless your planning to sleep in the hallway I am sure you'll be absolutely fine. The location is a bit more tricky that we expected, since the 125 bus is very crowded on the way back to the hotel. However after getting the private community lines bus (at the same stop opposite the food bazzar) it was much easier and slightly cheaper. You just need cash. Tickets can then be purchase at the port authority bus station (I think windows 23) but you can pay again with cash, the depart from the port authority from gate 51. Overall for a cheaper alternative to staying in new york, the hotel does what it says on the tin.
