Best WLM Reviews

Front desk Montay, Best customer service hands down. She got a mean R.B.F but that girl there is as sweet as can be. Any issue you may have she does the best she can to make sure it’s fixed and you’re satisfied in the end. The hotel may be old, odd and stinky but montay definitely changes the vibes of that place! The front desk staff is all pretty good but she’s the best one by far. I will continue to come back. |Now a negative, The housekeepers bang on the door like they the police, even if you request late check out. Wild
The room was nice and clean and updated. We had a beautiful view of downtown Norfolk But a small issue with the smell weed In in our room. The front desk they was professional and accommodating. They sent Maintenance to check our filters in and house cleaning to refresh our room. I believe The smell was coming from our neighbor and we have an adjoining door.
Parking was available and breakfast from the restaurant was also quick and good.
Downside was only one elevator was working and this is an overflow hotel for college students. Not a horrible thing, but you will be in contact. From the building to the parking lot we were only given the option of stairs, lots of stairs.
The rooms were pretty nice and well kept. Having the refrigerator was very good as I can bring my home cooked meals there. No microwaves in the rooms, but they did have one in the lobby I could use. Food was like $20 a plate and since I wasn't flying I opted to bring my own. Customer service receptionists were very helpful in answering the few questions I had. Room services was good, but I want to have those do not disturb signs because I typically don't get up super early when I'm not working. The location was only a mile away from the location of the chess tournament, so I could walk there if I didn't want the hassle of parking.
We had an awesome stay and got great recommendations and service. Debra Berry assisted us multiple times and was outstanding! Very kind and informative. We will be staying again on our way back through. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who values cleanliness, security, and friendly professional staff.
Let's just say the staff makeup for the location. This hotel is located directly across the street from a not so desirable area, the lobby of the hotel is very lovely and the staff are by far are the best part of this hotel. Friendly, welcoming, and helpful always smiling and approachable. I did have an issue where the manager did not mention there was an early check in fee and this miscommunication did leave me with an unsettling feeling especially after being told they would credit my account and she did not. Now moving onto the rooms it was very clean, spacious, however the walls are very THIN I mean THIN we could here an entire conversation of our neighbor, the doors are very heavy and all you hear at night is the slamming of the doors. There was only one working elevator when we were there this past weekend, and the smell in the hall ways is a mixture of wet carpet and Fabuloso. If you are looking just for a place to lay your head at night then you may not mind this but if you are looking to enjoy your stay this is not the place.
We booked to stay nearby while our son was hospitalized nearby. The staff were so kind and helpful! Debra Berry at the front desk helped us so much!!! She answered all our questions and went out of her way to make sure we could get a room during a very busy period for the hotel. The care we got from Debra was a real blessing to us during this difficult time for our family!
Hotel is nice. Well located. Staff was nice.
But, in the room at 12 floor you hear entire night the water going through the
pipes.
Second, it is for first time in my life, and i saw a lot of countries and hotels, when the cleaning staff chase me for tips. Wtf.
Third, during my 3 days stay I use the same elevator. And the hotel has 5. You keep them just for PR?
And that one elevator was smelling like cannabis, I barely was able to breath. Hope to not arrest me in the airport.
Wasn’t overly impressed with this place. The room was fine but dingy. Felt like staying at a lower budget hotel. Everything reeked of weed - the hallways, the lobby, even outside. I was not expecting that. The staff was marginally friendly at best, but mostly didn’t acknowledge you. The parking lot was weird - it and the hotel needed more signage in my opinion. If you’ve never been it’s not totally clear where to go. Lastly, you could hear your neighbors. I got woken up every time by noises from outside the room and inside the hotel.
