My stay at the Wyndham Garden Jacksonville was everything I needed it to be - check-in was easy, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the location was both near the interstate, and it was about a 15 minute drive to Mayo Clinic, which was very convenient. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient, and the lobby was very tastefully decorated, although I didn't linger because check-in was so easy.||This hotel is missing some of the little details that would put the experience over the top, but to me these things don't matter, especially given the price point. Things like the hot and cold water in the shower being mislabeled (it was confusing for a second, and then I figured it out and it was fine), or all of the lightbulbs being cool white instead of warm (I think their room pics would look a lot more appealing if they just swapped to warm white), or messy grout work or scuffed paint, but clean and sanitary. For me, none of this bothers me, because the room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and everything was clean.||As someone with a mobility disability, there were so many things that made my stay easier - the front doors were automatic on both the front and back entrances, and the door to my accessible room didn't automatically swing back, which made managing luggage a LOT easier than it has been in the past. It did take me a second to figure out how to open the door - it took a lot of force down on the handle once the keycard was put in, which was a little difficult. There are two elevators, and I believe one of them was having maintenance issues, but I didn't experience any delay or difficulty with just the one working elevator (especially as someone with a room on the second floor who absolutely can't do stairs!). I did not go over to the restaurant or pool.||The beds were kind of high, like they are in most hotels, but there was plenty of room to roll around the bed (folks with larger devices might have trouble, but I think most standard sizes of wheelchair and walker would be fine). There were grab bars around the toilet, and none of the staff asked any awkward questions and were just as friendly as could be.||The bar for accessibility for hotels is pretty low, and while this hotel absolutely cleared it, the bathroom is the one place where accessibility could easily be made. There was a shower chair in the roll-in shower, but it had some soap residue on it and needed a rinse before I could use it, but otherwise it was stable and usable, especially with the handheld shower head that had both a regular position and a glide bar. There was not any shelving in the bathroom, aside from the sink and a single towel hook on the door - in the shower, there wasn't anywhere to put soap within reach, so I ended up putting it on the sink and opening the shower curtain a little to access it, and putting my towel and clothes also on the sink. Workable, but not ideal. There also were not any grab bars in the shower, which would have been helpful.||While this is a common problem, there was a lot of water on the floor after using the roll-in shower - this could potentially be mitigated by a longer shower curtain that hits the floor. The floor became a little slippery, but there was a little texture to the tile, so that helped a little.||Overall, my experience, especially regarding accessibility, was one of the best I've had at a hotel, and for the price, this hotel was incredible. The next time I'm in Jacksonville, I will absolutely be staying here!
Hi me and my daughter came here to stay a week 11/24/2024 till 11/30/2024. It was a okay place if you need a room fast. But don't use the coffee pot because they're nasty. I had to clean ours first. I also saw a
roach the very next morning in the bathroom. The phone didn't work but that wasn't a problem to me. On our floor the ice maker was out of order. The Elevator was also out of order, and washing machine and dryers out order.
If I had to say, the building I would rate it a 2 stars, because of everything out of order. There is not free breakfast with the rooms. For the price you can stay in different hotel and get free food just saying! We would have past it up and stayed somewhere else but we needed a room fast.
I would give my experience at Wyndham Gardens a 10/10. My stay here was affordable and convenient. Check in was very quick and easy, Staff was friendly and helpful with any questions I had. My stay included all in-room amenities. Room was very clean and spacious. My partner and I enjoyed our stay and having an in-room movie night!! Thank you Wyndham Garden Hotel Jax.
Great hotel at a great price. Check in was effortless, room was clean and attractive. Bathroom and shower were inviting. Soap, shampoo and moisturizer were a nice touch. Pillows were comfortable. Mattress a little too firm for our liking but never the less we had a good sleep. Plenty of restaurants to eat within 5-10 min drive.
The location was good. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t what we expected. Hair was in the bathroom. Bathroom needed a light bulb- one was out which made the dark. There were no wash cloths in the bathroom, we had to ask for them at the desk and was told they didn’t have any at the moment. Luckily, a housekeeper was in the hallway and was able you give us some. Only one elevator worked which caused waiting times to get on and off. No complimentary breakfast. Didn’t realize that until after I checked in. I would not choose this hotel again.
Comfortable bed. Clean room. |Only one elevator was working. Made for slow process to your room. Had dog with us . Charged $15. Quiet night. Room overlooked pool on second floor. No free breakfast, but restaurant right next door somewhat reasonable.

We had a great experience during our one night stay. Marcy at the front desk was amazing & she knows her stuff. She fixed us up quickly & we got to our room. The room was nice & clean. The pillows were amazing & the beds were comfy! We would definitely stay here again!
