Pulling into the parking lot i thought the building was closed. There is no lighting in the parking lot at all. All the lighting appears to be damaged or in need of replacement. Inside looked a little better. First room was on the 6th floor. The first elevator was out of service so had to walk down a second corridor to the other elevator. Upon inspection of the room I found a bug on my pillow. I appreciate the staff at the front desk quickly reassigning me to another room and that the room was on the first floor and close to the front desk. The manager also agreed to comp me breakfast for the remainder of my stay. The rooms are dated but were otherwise comfortable. I had no other issues the rest of the stay.
Upon entering the hotel, the lobby gives a grand, luxurious impression that makes you excited to see your room. However, that excitement quickly fades as you make your way through the hallways, which are outdated and uninviting. One of the biggest concerns is the elevators, which haven’t been re-inspected or permitted since 2017. When I pressed the button for the elevator, it got stuck. Thankfully, this happened before I stepped inside, because I would’ve panicked if it had malfunctioned while we were in it.
The room itself had a terrible odor, likely due to the air conditioning unit, which seemed neglected. I doubt the filters had been cleaned in years, possibly not since 2017 or even longer. To make matters worse, breakfast is not included, and when we decided to give it a try, it was a disappointment. They charge $12 per person and $8 for kids, but the food was far from worth it. The bacon was burnt, and the self-serve waffles came out undercooked and unappetizing. The only decent thing was probably the banana.
We were so dissatisfied with the overall experience that we checked out a day early. I do not recommend staying here, as it is not worth the price or the stay.
First, the front desk staff was extremely nice, helpful, and accommodating. The lobby was well lit and newly remodeled. HOWEVER, the rest of the building is terrible. I’m unsure if it’s a smell of mold or what, but I laid down and could not breathe, so we checked out. The room is dated. The price point is cheap, but not worth compromising my lungs. Stay away if you have sensitive lungs, or allergies.
Location kinda sucks getting too, especially around 5pm.
1st room I went too didn’t smell that great and the elevator was extremely wonky, asked to be switched to another room and the lady that helped me didn’t even hesitated after checking in about 10min prior. Bathroom had a very outdated and discolored jetted tub. Behind the bed of our 2nd room is filled with dead bugs and other used items, which I only found out after searching for the remote.
The bar staff was wonderful. Asked for something fruity and he made me a yummy Hawaiian drink!
Would recommend this hotel if you’re on a budget, just make sure you check your room before you get comfy.
Only stayed for 1 night, but it was nice. The check-in guy was great. Very kind, great sense of humor ????
The elevator ???? is super slow ???? so be patient. Also, the elevator is in the back on the 1st floor, just FYI ????
We were on the 6th floor.
The room was fine, but the bed was too hard for me and I barely got sleep because of it, but that's okay.
The bar area was nice. The gentleman in charge of that was very kind, kept our drinks refilled & even made our pizza ???? for us. We had a nice conversation with him.
For a hotel that is next to the highway, it was nice & quiet ????
Thank you for a great date night!!!! ❤️????
They spent ALL the money on the WRONG areas of the hotel. The lobby is pretty and decorated. The outside looks appealing. However, the elevator is out of service and we are on the sixth floor. The lamp in our room doesn’t even stand up straight. It’s about on its last leg. The TV in our room, the stand is broken and leans completely forward. The Internet says it’s connected but doesn’t work. when you call the front office they give you the support number for the actual Internet company. Did I mention the phone in the room is just for decoration you have to use your cell phone to call the front office. The hallways are dirty. The paint in the room is chipping at the ceiling. I could go on, but I think this review is long enough. I advise staying elsewhere.
This hotel is a little older, so it is missing some of the modern amenities. I was disappointed that they do not have a free breakfast, but they do have a nice menu if your willing to spend a little more. I also did not realize they have rooms that have a balcony overlooking the swimming pool. I will get one if I stay here again. The location is good is not the most desirable, but offers a short trip to Dallas LOVE Field and D/FW International.
Photos are deceiving. The hotel was pretty gross. Reeked of weed throughout hotel. Key card never worked to get into the room. Swiped probably 80 times within our two day stay. There were literal roaches in our room we found out on day 2. Room wasn’t clean. And out by the pool there was smoked blunts that the kids had stepped on! Also the elevator was never working so we constantly had to climb up and down 5 flights of stairs along with other families. Even the people across the hall were complaining that nothing worked. Our fridge also didn’t work so we couldn’t keep drinks in the room and had to purchase some from the vending machine when we got thirsty. Would not stay again.
