We’ve stayed here in the past and had decent experiences.
Things have changed! The room had such a strong urine odor I was spraying the room with perfume to try and mask it.
Towel bars falling out of the wall.
Mold in the shower and bathroom grout was BLACK!! Toilet paper is mounted on the wall behind the toilet down at the baseboard, you practically fall trying to reach it!
Carpet is disgusting!
Pillow was hard as a rock, bring your own!
We traveled with several others who showed pictures of bugs in their rooms. 2 rooms were bad enough to be moved
Definitely would never recommend this hotel!
My favorite place to stay in the Charleston area. Just an extra 15 minute drive is worth it and the rooms are always clean, friendly staff, great breakfast free selection. I enjoyed the bar having a couple drinks waiting on my food. A big plus is a great indoor pool!
I normally don't give High marks because I stay out a lot traveling. This property is outstanding in the customer Relations Department at the front desk. Outstanding breakfast you would have to pay $10 or more for the breakfast they offered. This is a very upstanding property. My hats are off to the service that I received.
Am sure this hotel was amazing when it was new, well built, In house restaurant with tavern. Bed linen clean and comfortable bed. Polite friendly staff, very welcoming.
Areas for improvement:
1. Exit doors not locking, broken.
2. Disgusting furniture stains
3. Filthy stainless carpets in room
4. Foul smell in room (carpets, furniture)
Don't mind old or worn...butt crack stains, and funk from chronic neglect ugh.
Room was mostly clean, but there was hair in the corners of the bathroom. Public areas - hallway, stairs, and elevator were really dirty, with nasty, stained carpet and lots of crud.
Breakfast was terrible. By 8:20, supplies were gone and no one was replenishing. No fruit. Milk only available in individual plastic bottles that can't be recycled. Coffee tasted scorched.
No soundproofing around doors so heard everything from hallway.
Will never stay here again.
First off, we made this reservation because we wanted a Jacuzzi and the website said they have one. They don't. The room was only average, clean, but comfy. The staff however was amazing. My fiance had lost his wallet with cash and all his credit cards, even though we are supposed to have a credit card to check in they were understanding and check us in with the cash I had. The cleaning staff and breakfast staff were just as friendly and helpful. I definitely would stay again. Thank you.
Very displeased with this jacuzzi room. Absolutely not worth the almost $200 it cost to stay. The jacuzzi has nasty stains. A jet button does not work. The fridge does not get cold. The window curtains have mold on the bottoms of them. The ice bin was filthy. This room should have at least had a kitchenette in it for the price. Over all, I will not stay here again nor suggest it.
