This doesn’t allow you to give 0 zero stars or negative ones but this hospital has maintained its reputation of how awful it is and has been throughout the years. I unfortunately gave birth here about a week and a half ago and after complaining to the supervisor and chairman all I got was a fruit basket as an apology. HA! Apologizing for my whole experience including my children’s is better by actually putting the effort in fixing all the major issues. This hospital is always under construction; has several doctors, students, interns, nurses etc who contradict themselves every 5 seconds which confuses the patients. Just do better for the community around you.
I've been a patient at this practice for about a year because it's local and within my network - I will no longer be going here. I've repeatedly had to wait 2+ hours for my appointments. I left without even seeing my doctor at my last appointment because the wait was so long. I started looking for a new primary care doctor, however today I called because I wanted to see my doctor as a walk-in for something urgent. Someone from the hospital called me back and told me I could go in at 10:45am. When I arrived promptly at 10:45am, the receptionist was clearly confused about my appointment and told me to sit down and wait. After a few minutes, she called me up saying they had no appointment for me and she had no idea who called to tell me that. She said they could maybe fit me in later this afternoon, but knowing this hospital I left and went to my local urgent care instead. I won't be back.
I’m a patient at this practice simply because it’s the only local clinic within my network. Whenever I have to schedule an appointment here I am tempted to move away. What is the point of scheduling an appointment if the doctors and staff don’t follow it? I waited over an hour for a back physical today. And then the doctor ordered labs and have been over an hour for that too. I didn’t think I’d have to take an entire morning off of work just to sit in a waiting room with no updates. If I was late for my appointment I’d be charged a fee and not seen. And get the staff can get away here with completely disregarding patients and having an attitude when asked how long it will be. At this point I’m wondering if there will even call my name at all today. Every single time I come here I am in a terrible mood.
I have nothing but praise for the staff and the care I received at this hospital. I must admit I was a little leary due to comments I had heard but I had an emergency and had to be brought to the nearest hospital which is Wyckoff. That was on a Sunday morning. From the moment I got there I was treated with kindness and professionalism by everyone. From the front desk people to the transporter who brought me to the room they were all great. I was in the ER for one day. It was a bit crazy in there but its the same in every ER you go. The nurses were wonderful. They were very attentive and helped me with everything I needed. They even brought me food. As the day went by the ER got fuller and some patients started acting up. However the staff remained cool and professional and did the best they could to help the patients with what they needed. They also kept me informed and answered my questions in a pleasant way. When I got my room, it was spotless. The food was also good. The nurses there were very attentive also and brought me all I requested. They kept coming into the room to check on me and made me very comfortable. I was also impressed by how they treated the other patient in the room. She couldnt get up and had vision problems. They needed to do alot for her. Yet they used kind words and cared for her very well. The cardiologist was very nice. She explained everything to me and spoke to me on the phone while she did her rounds regarding my test. I feel bad for those that may have had unpleasant experiences but I also want to give credit to those hardworking and dedicated staff members who go in there day after day doing this difficult job. They deserve to be acknowleged and praised and also be told that they make a difference in people's lives.
I had no choice but to come here. I was in ER from 3-12:30 am. They lost my bloodwork in the lab & had to keep redrawing.(HOURS LATER) The nurse was embarrassed. It was like I was being ignored for hours waiting & waiting they didn't offer me a cup of water or a snack all those hours. A bunch of drs & nurses talking & hanging out in the middle. They kept saying I had anxiety, no I didn't my thyroid was out of wack & making me sick so I felt unwell. If you know anything about autoimmune it can cause a range of symptoms. There was a blunt in the sink in the bathroom smelt like smoke & piss on the floor in all bathrooms. The 2nd star is for some of the nice nurses I came across & the one resident that tried. But avoid this place waste of money & should be shut down.
If I could give 0 stars I would. This hospital is terrible. Nobody cares about you & nobody listens to you. My grandma was admitted after I brought her to the ER, she was in for over a week. They didn’t start taking ANY actions or running test till 5 days in. They left her there just waiting and waiting with false hope that the test/scans would get done that day. They never have an answer for anything. They left her DAYS without food because they kept telling her she needs to be on empty stomach for the scans, which would get delayed for days. The scan and testing she was supposed to get done the first day got done on day 6!! They kept telling her that they are waiting on the specialist, She’s 80+ years old and they left her empty stomach for days. If you do not have the correct staff and effective care then discharge these patients. We wanted to get her out on day 3 and they started to say it’s not a good idea because her situation needs to be monitored when absolutely nobody was monitoring her or taking care of her there. Overnights nobody would respond to her button calls for bathroom use. I had to call the hospital over 4 times at night to get her the help she needed. They never came around, they only got concerned when we said we want to take her out and bring her somewhere else. That’s when the staff would come around and try to talk to us, other then that nobody was around to speak to. Every time we asked why it’s taking so long to make any action we got no response. We got told the doctors are roaming around the hospital, they are too busy. We got told the specialist are coming tomorrow (for DAYS) It’s honestly ridiculous. The list could go on for days, but it’s not worth it to come here if you truly need medical help. They will leave you there like nothing.
I had a procedure performed in the plastic surgery center. I paid my doctor directly for the procedure and anasthesia. For months they have sent me a bill for the anasthesia although I know they knew what the billing issues were. My Dr. told them it goes to him. No one answers their billing department, no one returns calls, and they sent me to collections! I have to bring Consumer Affairs and my attorney into this. Do not have procedures with them!
I came with my friend after calling 911 for his heart attack—they don’t even allow guests a CHAIR to sit. “WE DON’T GIVE CHAIRS HERE,” according to the nurse. You have to stand—my legs hurt and I felt incredibly weak. Crazy!!! Terrible place.
