Worst place to bring your child to when sick or getting vaccines, we were not properly informed of the risks that come with the rotavirus vaccine or any of the vaccines given and was not told it was a live vaccine after being very clear that I was not comfortable with my child getting a live vaccine so early. She’s already been sick for weeks and we’ve already brought her in I don’t know how many times due to her almost choking to death on mucus and now we get to deal with her constantly spitting up and having mass amounts of diarrhea on top of that, thanks wvu pediatrics.
The OBGYN staff are all so helpful and supportive. I am in my second pregnancy and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. The facility does get super busy from time to time, but they are always worth the wait. Will always recommend this facility.
I have seen Dr Cambell in the Dermatology Department. Dr Cambell is great ,shows concern for her clients and deservs 5 stars as i gave her last office. Some of the staff are compassionate, however some of the staff I have talked with at WVU medicine could be less concerned about ones health.
If you are looking for an OBGYN I highly recommend Robert Shapiro. He performed the most professional surgery (Bilateral salpingectomy) and place of a IUD. His team took amazing care of me before, during and after the procedure. I couldn’t have had a better doctor. He listened to my concerns and is super nice, he done everything he could to help me. So thank you Dr. Shapiro and your team for everything. I appreciate you.
IDK where to start . I been watching my 73yo mom get treated so poorly by this place it is unbelievable. She has been disregarded, ignored, lied to and the run around is horrible. Sad our loved ones have to go through such poor treatment when these Dr’s are the ones they should be able to count on and trust.
First, be sure to wear a mask. This is part of a hospital system they are required to wear mask in this facility. Second, be sure to get there a little early, because when entering you are stopped and asked COVID-19 protocol questions. These questions take about 5 to 10 minutes depending on how many people are in line. Once you answer all the questions you are given a name tag with your appointment time to place on your shirt. Then you take the elevator to your designated floor of your appointment. The check-in lines are not very long, but I would suggest that if you can't stand long you check-in using the My Chart application on your phone. Most times it doesn't take long for them to call you to your room to wait for the doctor. My experience with this facility has always been very pleasant. The doctors and nurses have shown me respect and they don't ever discuss anything with me until we are in the privacy of the room. Be mindful that most of the doctors here are residents. I prefer that because residents are really curious and they do more searching for problems. I would rather they find it then it not be known. Early detection saves lives.
This place is absolutely the worst for scheduling. I had an appointment today at 2:45 and it was after 3 pm and still never got called back in the dermatologist department. The front desk lady that I spoke to was as rude as they can get. WVU Medicine overbooks which is blatantly obvious. This administration is very pitiful there is no patient care. Also I went to see dermatology because I have a severe case of Psoriasis. Thanks ALOT for not seeing me knowing this Psoriasis is causing much pain
It took 10 months of suffering and me being told I just had anxiety from having a baby to figure out I actually had a thyroid problem. I feel they blame every health issue a woman has after a baby as just hormones or mental health. Then after about 5 pokes and digging in my arm they finally got blood and then messed something up in the process so I had to come back. Now it has taken almost a week just to get my blood pressure medication filled when I am a pregnant woman with other health issues. I have had to call over 10 times. They have called me twice saying it’s filled then I drive to CVS and the pharmacy hasn’t even heard from them. Then I get a call from a doctor asking about a prescription I just talked to hours ago that I’m not even taking. The organization is horrible. How hard is it to fill a prescription I have taken over 6 months. I’m switching my care because this is just terrible. I’m never one to complain but go somewhere else because these people just think you’re a number not a person or patient.
