Best WLM Reviews
Wundergarden is always a fun time! It’s a great locals spot and has some great seasonal decor. Ive never had a problem finding a place to sit, and most of the garden is covered.
The drink selections are decent, albeit a little expensive, but not out of range for what you’d typically see in DC.
Good for large group outings due to the casual bench-seating arrangement and combination of walk-up bar service and QR code table service.
It’s setup like couple of circus tents, one days it’s there, next day it might not. Definitely unique. Atmosphere is great. Looks very beautiful once the sun sets. Happy hours and sun downers are very much possible. They have separated the sections nicely so you do get the privacy and do not feel the crowd if it’s busy.
You might get some mosquito bites later in the night so make sure you dress accordingly.
They check everyone's ID so have that ready. Staff is very friendly. Drink selection is limited-regular off the mill list and they do have small bites of you feel hungry. Prices are decent.
There’s paid parking lot on back side where you can park, street parking is also available.
Overall a good laid back hangout spot for friends.
Open atmosphere with covered tents, “living room” themed seating, picnic tables and color. A happy place to watch sports events after work if it’s not too warm. Get here early because it fills up fast… there’s lots of bad seating.
Great environment and great drinks! I went during Oktoberfest and it was a great time. They have a lot of games to play while you’re drinking which is very fun. Lots of different tents/venues to choose from within this venue.
Nestled in the heart of the city, this holiday escape, even under a tent, was nothing short of delightful. The festive atmosphere with twinkling lights and charming decorations created a magical vibe. A Peppermint Hot Chocolate spiked with Rumple Minze Peppermint Schnapps, hot cocoa, and whipped cream was a tasty treat, although a bit more chocolate wouldn't have hurt. Great drink options as well as entertainment add to the festive spirit, making it a perfect gathering for families and friends. Despite it being a Monday night, the other side of the garden was bustling with people. Wunder Garten is a must-visit, hosting various events throughout the year, including weekly gems like Trivia. Can't wait to visit again!
We were a group of nine and arrived at Wunder Garten after 10pm for a beer. The doorman, for no apparent reason, refused to let one of our friends enter the beer garden, claiming he had tried to enter without showing his ID. Not only was this untrue, but the doorman also became very aggressive, even after our friend showed his ID. He then escalated the situation by trying to attack another member of our group who was simply trying to understand what was happening.
Popped in for a quick drink on my way running errands in the city and its a pretty cool spot. I arrived at opening time so I was there alone which was great to explore, outdoor couch seating, cabanas, and a large tent for events and bar space. Very colorful and fun decor. I will say staff that greeted me at the entrance was much less than friendly, luckily Jose provided excellent drink recommendations and was very pleasant. Overall cool spot, would recommend friendlier staff. Just a simple hello goes a long way. Probably wont be back.
The “security” at the door was on his phone and did not let our friend in because our two friends walked by the bouncer who wasn’t paying attention. Bouncer wanted to show he is in charge and he was on this very strange ego trip. No smiles, no friendly attitude, he was ignoring our group and said he won’t let our two friends in because they didn’t show their IDs. This is not a club, he doesn’t own the place, we were there to have a drink, relax and enjoy the rest of our evening until things have taken a very strange turn.
I was inside and spoke with the manager Jordan. She said went to the bouncer and had a conversation. Clearly there was a very strange dynamic between the two where Jordan did not want to argue with him. Ultimately she couldn’t do anything and when I asked her if she can take initiative, she said verbatim “I can but I won’t do that” and walked away.
Bouncer got physical with our group physically forcing us out. This happened at 10:24pm on a Thursday night on a day when the business wasn’t seemingly busy. Not only this bouncer cost the business clients who’ve been coming here for years, we will be sharing the experience preventing from going here ever again.
Rest of our group will be posting to review this experience along with the lack of initiative the manager Jordan was able to take. Last note, the bouncer exclaimed he can’t wait to get out not wanting to do his job.
