Best WLM Reviews
Relatively spacious but busy Chinese spot in Chinatown. They have shared table seating both inside and outside. I ordered the fish fillet and tofu casserole and it was quite good, especially the broth. Service was good but since they were quite busy, I'm assuming it's a popular spot in the area. Great experience overall.
Hands-down one of the best no-frills Cantonese spots I’ve ever visited! The staff was super friendly and offered great recommendations, and the dining vibe is bustling and welcoming. The food was fantastic: the BBQ platter had perfectly seasoned & tender meat, the wonton soup featured bouncy & flavorful shrimp filling, and the razor clam with black bean sauce was incredibly fresh with a great chewy texture - the meal was truly comforting. I highly recommend coming with a group to enjoy a variety of dishes.
I have memories of the various restaurants that have been at this location. I mostly remember the place as different Cantonese noodle houses and sometimes dim sum parlors.
I finally went to Wu’s Wonton King the other day to grab lunch with my sister and niece. The food was great! I was looking for the dumplings noodles dry style (basically the noodles soup with the soup separate) but they call it HK style lo mein here. The fried crueler rice roll came naked but you could put as much sweet soy sauce on as as you want since you had a bottle at the table.
The service was very attentive. They did hurry us out at the end (-1 star). I totally understand turning over the table when they’re busy but this was a weekday with no one there.
My experience at Wu's Wonton King was nothing short of amazing! As my friend and I walked along Broadway, we were drawn in by the enticing aroma of authentic Chinese food. The outdoor seating was perfect, with just the right amount of heat.
We ordered the Peking duck, which was served with soft boa buns. The duck was cooked to perfection, and the chili oil added the perfect kick of flavor. We also tried a traditional beef dish, which was equally delicious, although I can't recall its name.
The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend Wu's Wonton King to anyone looking for authentic Chinese cuisine in the area. Can't wait to visit again!
Hole in the wall authentic Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. A very big variety of choices from fresh seafood to BBQ meats, to Peking duck, etc.
Bring your own wine on Wednesdays and there is no uncorking fee! My friends and I split a bunch of food and it came out to about $30/each (amazing!)
There are lots of birthday celebrations here, I’d love to come to celebrate me or a friend’s birthday. They do sing to you so just be prepared! They do put a candle in a pig’s head or crab… you probably need to order one / coordinate beforehand.
Came here for a birthday dinner and had a blast of a time. The king crab is a must to pre order and it’s served perfectly across the three styles. Their beef dishes are also quite memorable. Popular for group dining - I’d happily go back!
Classic Chinatown experience! The service is speedy and the food tastes authentically Cantonese. The Three Wonton Soup bowl was very unique to all of the other Chinese restaurants out there. It's not exactly the cleanest or coziest place ever but that's Chinatown keeping it real and prices low. Thank you!
