Best WLM Reviews

The food was so delicious that I forgot to take pictures. That's what dinner should be anyway, right? But I do love to take pictures and post them, because I'm someone that can be indecisive when looking at a new menu. I like to hop on Google to see what the dishes look like. Anyway, you can't go wrong here. The food is perfect! We brought the kiddos and they loved everything as well.. even some of the spicy dishes, which is rare for them. The service was also top notch. You have one server, but they kind of share duties. You end up feeling well taken care of by a whole team. My only recommendation would be to make a reservation early so you can get a spot inside. We sat outside which was ok too, but I think it would have been better to get the ambience inside. They have valet parking which is one block before if you're coming down 5th. So turn early. Our favorite dishes were the salt & pepper shrimp, soup dumplings, and two faced crispy noodles. The deep fried chicken was also really good but has some kick.
We went to Wu Chow Downtown for a client dinner, and I was blown away by this restaurant.
The dining scenery is clean, modern, and colorful, creating an upscale vibrant ambience throughout.
Our server was very kind and funny. He even had a drink named after him because he had returned from heart surgery recently. It is really lovely to see that a restaurant like this cares so much about their staff that they’d extend a gesture like this.
The food was unbelievable. We ordered the soup dumplings, green beans, honey pecan prawns, Peking duck, gong bao chicken, beef dish, fried rice, and more - every single item on the menu was to die for. I could have eaten any item we ordered as my meal every day for the rest of my life and been happy, it was that good.
10/10 highly recommend this restaurant.
Sichuan fried Chicken is so yummy(spicy)! Pork dumplings was okay probably I won’t get it again. 2face seafood is different and delicious but probably I will try something else next time. Great, friendly service!
The atmosphere was very inviting but the waiters weren’t knowledgeable in the chinese cuisine when I had questions. We visited when a waiter was training another so the vibe felt off.
My friend and I loved the mapo tofu, had a soft feeling and the sauce was to die for. The portion sizes were good.
Mapo tofu: 10/10, soft and yummy
Beef noodles: 6/10, very flavorful but was lacking
Pork soup dumplings: 5/10, wasn’t as flavorful as it’s supposed to be made
Can't say I would come back whatsoever. Food was not great. Over seasoned and over priced. Soup dumplings were pretty good . Drinks were awful. Tried everyone's and we all thought the same. Service also seemed inconvenienced by us even ordering. If the food is amazing I can put up with bad service. But not both.
This place is absolutely outstanding! It offers exceptional value for your money. On my second visit to Wu Chow, I was once again impressed by the consistently high food quality. We indulged in the chicken dumplings, which were impeccably fresh and incredibly delicious. The crispy chicken with Szechuan pepper provided the perfect balance of zing without being overly spicy. However, the real stars of the meal were the cumin lamb and the chili chicken – simply the best! I highly recommend these two dishes, especially when paired with their fragrant fried rice. The portions are generously sized and easily satisfy two hungry diners. Overall, this establishment is a gem. They also have a wide variety of cocktails and beer/wines! The ambiance is delightful, and their prices are very reasonable. If you're visiting Austin, I wholeheartedly endorse this place. It's a culinary delight!
Food service was super fast. But there should be an order apps then main course. But it was all over the place.
Don’t take veggie dumplings they are the worst and no taste. No dessert options.
Try chilli chicken, that’s extremely good.
Singapore noodles were my favorite.
Chicken dumplings, sure you can try them if you want to. Enjoy!
ALL of the dumplings are absolutely delicious!! The beef potstickers were my absolute favorite. The service was amazing and our primary server was fantastic and attentive. The only dish we did NOT like was the lion’s head meatballs, they were way too mushy. Everything else was delightful and would definitely go back!
