Wrights Dairy Rite is like a charming glimpse into the past. It's arguably the most kid-friendly and family-oriented restaurant I've ever visited. Everything about it is simply delightful. If you decide to eat in—which I highly suggest—make sure to sit on the left side upon entering. You can place your order directly from a telephone at your table, and it's just the cutest experience! The tastiest dish was the onion rings! Yummy! We will be back.
Definitely a must go to when in the area! One of a kind experience. Great food and friendly service. Step back in time and enjoy!! The kids meals are super cute - served in a cardboard retro car.

An outstanding vintage drive-in dating back to 1952. I saw others recommend the Superburger and I completely agree! It looks like a Big Mac but much better! Crinkle cut fries, homemade onion rings, milkshakes. It is all great!
10/10! My husband and I stopped in at Wright's after walking around Stauton, and did not regret it! The food was delicious, the portion sizes were great, and it was reasonably priced! I ordered a chicken basket, came with fries, rolls, and coleslaw for 11 dollars!!! The service was so friendly and she came back multiple times without it feeling overly done. The jukebox and decor was the perfect 50s setting, creating a cozy and romantic atmosphere. It's too bad we are only in town for vacation or else this would be a regular stop!!
We were visiting from out of town. This place seems like a mix between Dairy Queen and Sonic. The food was good and the atmosphere was fun. We appreciate them creating a vegetarian sub and the food tasted good.
We ordered a mushroom Swiss burger, onion rings, a burger basket, and three drinks. They took a long while to bring the food, but I can’t say how busy it might have been outside. But when the food came there was no mushroom Swiss burger. Turns out the kid at the register didn’t ring it up. Everything tasted just okay, nothing special.
We ordered dessert after, a hot fudge sundae and a banana split. The banana split looked a little weird, and when we started eating it we found all the ice cream was completely melted. They brought us sweet soup with a banana and whipped cream on top. I don’t know who thought it was okay to let ice cream sit on the counter long enough to completely melt. We ate it anyway because we were tired from driving all day and didn’t feel like arguing. It’s a good thing we don’t live here, because we would never be back.
