This place used to be great, I've always liked their wings. A few weeks ago I ordered some boneless wings to go and they were pretty dry but I liked the flavor. Today I ordered more wings same flavors, BBQ and hot mustard. On the phone I mentioned about how they were dry last time and asked for them wet. I got home and these were more dry than the time I complained about. Will not be getting food here again for a while,
Rarely do i give a bad review but I cannot recommend this restaurant. The ribs were not tender, the chopped chicken was bland, the Cole slaw just tasted off. The Brunswick stew was very good. I paid an extra $6 for chicken and it was at most 4 Oz.
Ordered inside to go, two pork sandwich plates w/two sides each. Neither had bread for our sandwiches at all. I ordered stew for both my sides but was only given one small bowl and my husband ordered onion rings as a side and only got 4 small little onion rings. No sauce at all for the pork either. Worst experience I've had there and it cost nearly $40 just to be disappointed and still hungry. Won't be going back ever again.
Got half rack of ribs to go, got them home and put them on a plate they are so burnt and dry it might as well be over cooked rib jerky. Got sweet potato fries and they are cold.
In our party of five everyone was generally pleased with their meal, except for the French fries. Fries are fresh cut, limp and greasy. If you like fries like that it’s a 5 star BBQ place, if not then it’s 4 star.
One person in our group had the Brunswick stew and thought it had a strong vinegar taste to it. Our elderly mother got a children’s plate and had enough to eat.
I wanted to like this place due to it being a Christian establishment. I got the ribs and the chicken quarter. It honestly tasted like it was cooked in a gas oven there was no smoke flavor no pink around the edge of the meat, the sauce was already added to the meat which was unusual to me and the meat was dry like it had been cooked for about a day. They charged me $4.25 for a tiny side salad. On a brighter note the wings were pretty good. I really didn't feel any courtesy in the place which hurt a little bit being a Christian establishment.
This place is great! Everything is really good with some of the best baked beans I’ve ever had and the fried banana peppers are to die for! Also it’s very clean and the staff are kind!
I think this should come to some peoples attention. I used to LOVE eating here when i lived in Bremen. After seeing what I've seen I dont think ill ever eat here again. Someone called in to check on a job application they put in and whatever woman answered the phone was incredibly rude and then when the girl messaged on facebook, she was even more rude. these christian folks aint so christian acting how they do. outta be a damn shame.
