Best WLM Reviews

Passing through while heading home back to Michigan. We arrived late at night and I believe there might have only been one employee on staff at the time. Had to wait for a while for her to get back to the desk and then seemed slightly put out that she had to aid a customer so late.
Once we made it to the room, it was adorable. Full living room apart from the bedroom. Everything was clean and well maintained. The bed was more comfortable than most hotel beds and we had plenty of space to move around. I only wish we had more time to enjoy the stay rather than leaving first thing in the morning.
The place is super outdated. The showers have been painted over so many times to hide mold. There are cockroaches (dead and very much alive) crawling all over the first floor and in people’s rooms. Piles of dead ones will sit in the wifi room for days on end. The rooms aren’t really cleaned. You get a “full service” only once a week that includes the trash being taken out, the towels being changed, and making your bed with the same sheets on it. Seems like they just put toilet cleaner in the toilet, but nothing is actually “cleaned.”
On a positive note, all of the staff I have interacted with have been very nice and kind, but the place needs to be torn down at this point and rebuilt.
The rooms are disgusting! Quite literally all I ask in a hotel is that it is decently clean, don’t think I’m asking a lot on that. My bathroom had mold in it, soap scum stuck to the floors to the point that I felt unsafe walking barefoot on it, bugs in the beds/rooms and webs in the rooms, a leak on the roof, bathroom light didn’t work all the time, smelled terrible in the rooms, shower head had mold on it, microwave and fridge had issues working, no elevator for luggage. I mean there was nothing that was good/great about this place. They claim they only clean the rooms once a week because of Covid and it shows these rooms are disgusting. If you have the option to stay somewhere else, do it. For $94 a night you can find somewhere much cleaner and comfortable. This hotel is in dire need of renovation.
Although there was a weird smell in the hallways our room and area did not. It’s an outdated building but on par with other government lodging. Rooms were very clean and furniture was very comfortable so overall a decent place to stay.
The staff is very nice and the location is central. It is 77 degrees outside and the rooms are the same temperature with no air conditioning/central air.
I recently stayed at this hotel for a training program, and I have to say, it was a disappointing experience. The hotel is in dire need of renovation as it looks outdated and in need of a thorough cleaning. The housekeeping service was below par, as it took a whole week before someone came to clean my room. To make matters worse, instead of providing fresh pillow sheets, the housekeeper simply turned the pillow over, which was quite noticeable. The bathroom was also not properly cleaned, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, there were dead bugs in the corners of the hallways for a prolonged period of time. Overall, I hope to avoid staying at this hotel again in the future.
These rooms are old but large. They are falling apart. My biggest issue is that there is no AC. The temperature was in the 80s and they still had the units blowing heat only. Then they turned it off after a couple of weeks and it was just air that was not cold. Still being in the high 70s and 80s they don't even know when the AC will be turned on. The ceiling is peeling, the you have to double the time of any food item in the microwave, and the rooms smell like mold. Again, I know it is old. I am more frustrated with the heat. The fans provided do not resolve the heat at night and you cannot sleep because you are sweating and hot. If I could choose another hotel I absolutely would. Do not stay here in the spring/ summer if you can. The beds, blankets, pillows, and furniture are also uncomfortable, but that is at every Air Force Inn.
I came back around 6 in the evening and found my bed completely stripped with no bedding and all of the pillows on the ground. When I called the front desk they said that there is no one here and just offered new sheets.
Staff goes above and beyond to make you satisfied. Cleaning lady is super sweet. Rooms are good for thier age. Sign says in 2025 they will be starting construction of a new hotel which would be awesome. Overall a clean safe stay
