Best WLM Reviews

The food was filling, although it didn't quite stand out. The citrusy glazed chicken rice and the teriyaki chicken rice had a bit more pronounced sweetness than I anticipated, and both were watery. The baos were an intriguing concept, particularly the cheeseburger flavor, but they could benefit from a more robust flavor profile. The service was adequate but nothing particularly noteworthy. Additionally, the dining area could use some attention to enhance the atmosphere.
As others have mentioned, this place gets 2 stars solely on the fast service, otherwise it’s quite disappointing. We got the citrus glazed chicken and jasmine rice combo w/bao and dumplings. For 2 people we paid $40, unfortunately we didn’t feel we got our value’s worth. The portions are small and the taste is underwhelming. The dumplings and the bao are somewhat of a saving grace, otherwise all other menu items should be avoided. The staff is friendly and efficient, but the food is not worth your time or money. Look to eat somewhere else.
Wow sad.
Ordered the egg, spinach and mushroom bao and there was barely any filling. No flavor. I had to add stiracha to eat them. And they were just thrown in the bag, sticking to the bag.
The ginger ale was good though.
$16 for all that, not worth it.
There was no line and they accepted my airline meal voucher from my delayed flight. Service was fast and friendly but the food was overpriced and mediocre as you can expect from airport fast food. I got a couple of smallish buns and some dumplings, both of which were fine.
I give it 2 stars due to fast service but otherwise the bowls are little to be desired. I got an orange chicken bowl with fried rice for $15+tax and could not even finish the meal. I expected to pay more for food in an airport but the moment I received this, the look of it was unappetizing and not worth the money. It looks like chili or dog food and was both too sweet and too salty. It seems people have better luck with the bao and dumplings so maybe try that if you choose to eat here. I won’t be going back. Might as well go to one of the other better known chains in the airport since the food will be standard.
Food: warm and comforting. They gave us an extra bao for the slow service, which was nice of them.
Service: they forgot that we ordered and we waited for over 20 minutes. Do not eat here if you are in a rush/time-constrained for your flight. If you want speedy service, I recommend Five Guys nearby.
Atmosphere: it was 6:30 am DCA, so it’s hard to judge that it’s quiet.
This place is not for me..I ordered the curry chicken rice bowl along with some dumplings. The rice bowl was nice and hot and that was nice. Other than that and the sticky rice tasting really good. Nothing else was good about this rice bowl. The chicken was very limited, if you had a opportunity to eat some they were very small pieces. The flavor was off as well, nothing about this dish tasted like curry. There was more of a vinegar flavor to me. The dumplings was rubbery and not prepared the correct way.
This used to be one of my favorite places for food at the airport; I'd even swing by when I was going in/out of a different concourse.
Sadly, however, over the past 5 years, the food price has gone up & up, and the quality has gone down. I had chicken teriyaki today, and there was very little chicken. The sauce has also changed slightly; I suspect so that it's harder to tell how much/little chicken is in it. I also got the chicken dumplings in thecombo. This is the 2nd time lately there was no sauce with the dumplings - though that is what makes worth eating for me!! I shouldn't have to check my order before I leave!! And then today, they had NO bags - not the kind of food I want to put in my carry-on and HOPE it doesn't spill! I'm sad to cross this place off my list, but it keeps going downhill.
