Best WLM Reviews
My husband and I dined in here for lunch and wow! The food was amazing, truly. The service was quick and pleasant. The portion size was so large, that we were able to pack what we didn’t eat to go and have it for dinner that evening and be as full as we were in the restaurant when we couldn’t finish our food ????. That salad was so delicious ???? the decor is simple, but really nice. I love the photographs and art on the walls and the the tan mats the food is served on contrasted with the white tablecloths. I also love the exposed wooden beams in the ceiling. It’s a nice restaurant, highly recommend checking it out!
I brought my fiancé here today after hearing about the restaurant a few months ago. We ordered the conch for appetizers, and she had oxtails for her entree while I had the jerk chicken. We couldn't get enough of the food! The flavor was present in every dish, and the serving size was so generous that we had enough to take home for dinner (which I'm about to dig into after I type this). Anyway, I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for some of the best Haitian food in NJ.
We went for my mother in laws birthday and they did a great job. The food was delicious. It was a spicy and I have cut back on spice but it didn’t bother me at all. I had the snapper and lambi with black rice & (conch) appetizer and it was the best Haitian food I have had in a while. Other family enjoyed the oxtails and the legume. Service felt very homey and comfortable like your mom was feeding you. We will definitely return.
If you’re looking to experience authentic Haitian cuisine, Woulibam Restaurant is the place to be! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, welcoming smiles and excellent customer service that makes you feel like family. Their dishes are packed with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and a genuine taste of Haiti that will leave you craving more.
The fish is perfectly seasoned, the patties are rich and hearty, and their pikliz add the perfect kick to every bite. I really wanted to take a jar home with me. High quality and taste, Woulibam will not disappoint. I highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Haitian food.
This restaurant is very unprofessional and the owner is very rude. Their prices change many times for the same dishes. One week it’s $20 and the following week it’s $25. They take forever to prepare the food. Over the phone they’ll tell you it’ll take 25 mins so you show up in 25 minutes and you still have to wait 40 minutes when you get there. They are very stingy with the portion of food they give you but it’s very expensive. I would not recommend this spot to anyone and i’m haitian.
Excellent food and service. We will be back again !
We dined here for my mom’s birthday dinner last night. The restaurant space was cozy and quaint. It was in a nice area of Maplewood. Upon entering, we were greeted by the host who seated us quickly.
Now, there is a 20-30 minute wait for the food, but that is because all food is cooked FRESH. As you can see, the portions are HUGE and the food tasted absolutely HEAVENLY.
If you’re interested in amazing Haitian cuisine, then you will not be disappointed.
I ordered griot and goat with rice and plantain. They didn’t give me rice and gave me akra instead. The portion size was decent but the food wasn’t worth the price at all. Both meats were extremely dry. It was terrible and definitely not worth $30. Funny enough the akra was really good. I drove 30 minutes for it but won’t be back.
