Place is currently being renovated. Sewage dripping out from pipes in underground parking garage. We were the first guest to use recently renovated suite. Second bedroom had non working electrical outlets, the kitchen sink detached itself from the counter and was hanging, and couldn't use the dishwasher because it wouldn't close.
Staff need more training on company policies, communication skills, and customer service.
The hotel was beautiful the location was perfect. I did however have an issue when my mother came back from a WorldMark owners meeting completely distraught she had told the gentleman NO numerous times when he suggested she buy more points. She felt overly pressured by this gentleman, and I was not impressed by how upset she was. No means no! a sales pitch should never overwhelm an owner to the point of tears. Sad really
This resort is not good at all. They were under renovations and didn’t notify prior to stay. No internet for an entire day after giving a small window when it would be down. Front desk staff gave zero effort with information. We attended a meeting that was said to be an hour but lasted two hours. Prior to the meeting we were told it was an information session and not a sales pitch but was. As Worldmark owners we will never stay here again. Steer clear of this resort
This condo-style hotel is convenient to the freeway, but you need a car to get anywhere. If you have stayed at other WorldMark resorts, this one is on the lower-end of attractiveness, with decent bedrooms but very small living rooms and kitchens. There's no dining room, so a table with benches is crammed into the kitchen for eating. Parking is $25/day currently, but you really need a car if you want to go anywhere. You can be at most popular places in San Diego within a half-hour drive. As a points-based timeshare company, you may be subjected to a sales pitch to buy into the system. Don't fall for it!
Friendly staff, clean and well-appointed rooms, great pool/bbq area. This resort has everything you need and is in a central location, about 15 minutes from beach and major San Diego attractions. Awesome experience!!!
Hello Researcher,
I am an owner of this timeshare property. This visit was a very good visit. This is the second time visiting this location. We rented a two room suite which included a king master bedroom a pullout Murphy Bed in the living room and two twin beds in the other room. The two bathrooms make this suite a very comfortable suite. The staff was very pleasant and understood the word "no" when it came to offering me more incentives to stay for an owner update, which is where they offer more purchase power. Since I just purchased in 2023 I didn't feel the need to go through options for 2024.
The location is right next to the "Benihana" teppenyaki/sushi restaurant.
15 minutes to SeaWorld and 15 minutes to San Diego Zoo and 15 minutes to the Midway ship museum.
Definitely a great location.
Room was nice.
Service was mediocre
Location is great for accessing lots of activities in SD
Had to pay for internet which seemed so 1990s and not convenient for planning. Prices are high enough, wifi should be expected
Very shady ownership and management. This is a nasty and unsafe hotel that doesn’t even change the blankets after a guest leaves. Some of the pics presented on google are not even the same hotel. This place is run down. My room was filthy. The sheets smelled like someone else’s cologne/perfume, the kitchen floor was extremely sticky, and the kitchen sink smelled so bad it made the whole apartment stink.
IF YOU HAVE A TRUCK EVEN STANDARD HEIGHT 4X4 DONT ENTER THE PARKING STRUCTURE!
The parking structure sign designated more than enough clearance for my vehicle, but upon driving in the parking area a large pipe hit the top of my truck, and now over two weeks later I’ve yet to hear anything from the Staff Manager Rachel regarding the insurance claim she supposedly submitted….? I can’t even find out who their insurance company is. BTW When I spoke with hotel staff about this incident, it was clear this was a fairly common occurrence. The only thing they were forthcoming on was that the hotel ownership never accepted responsibility, even with the designation of clearance outside, and their valet instructing me to, “go ahead and back it in right here.”
Another stupid fact is that this hotel charges for parking even while there’s absolutely nothing in walking distance besides another hotel and maybe a Dennys. Everything is miles away, whether it’s gas lamp, the beach, balboa park, Sea World, you’ll need to drive and pay again when you get there.
They charge $8 in the lobby for a bottle of water. They think this place is an actual destination just because it’s in the city of San Diego, but man it sucks.
