Used to always come out amazing. I have had this gel polish almost 1 week, and have to go back to get chipping fixed and then 2 days later go to the gym and every nail is basically chipped and peeling. I have never had this happen before anywhere and I had been going to World Nails in the Bay City mall twice a month for a year. I am annoyed, frustrated, and I regret tipping $20 on this set of nails that cost $35 and couldn’t last a day with chipping and only kept getting worse. They fixed a few of the nails before but that was 2-3 days ago. It got worse and worse, I will be paying somewhere else to remove it to avoid developing nail fungus. I am incredibly disappointed. The pedicure looks even worse but I don’t want to post my feet on the internet.
Always have had a good experience. But the last 2x I had a nail tech who couldn’t speak or understand English and so she started trimming my natural nails super short! I said no too short ! They changed my nail tech and it was a horrible job! Same thing happened again today! Sadly I will not be returning! I just wanted a dip and color! Wow
the lady was nice but i bite my nails a lot which made her have to put on fake ones and she did it up to the cuticle but now they stick up slightly and SUPER square-y and my mom tried to file them down a bit but now they look like horseshoes?? (on my other hand) but i'm not used to long nails since i bite them everyday but they look like SQUARES. it was the lady at table 8 for the manicure btw and he pic might not look great, sorry
So here is what I wanted : gel cat eye polish. Almond nails. No fake nails, nothing that should take too long.
Lady said hi at the counter and told me where to go. First one person, then was handed off to another person. It’s set up where you walk in, there’s a check in counter, behind it there are rows of tables with numbers assigned to each station. Behind that is a check out station, and behind that is where you wash your hands. The sides of the room are for pedicures and other treatments.
This place was incredibly uncomfortable and unsanitary. A lot of the place looks clean, but the tools used on my nails were not. For instance, the nail file was obviously used on more than just me. It was almost completely white covered in other peoples nailed dust.
I had a male work on my nails, and he acted like I was an inconvenience for him. He was incredibly unprofessional and rushing. He did not shape the nails the way I wanted him to. I politely asked if I could show him by filing one of my nails myself. When I did, he rolled his eyes and the technician next to him made fun of me for the way I used the file. It was embarrassing, so I just sort of let him do his thing.
He butchered my cuticles. One started bleeding immediately, he barely said sorry before putting antiseptic on it. Then he cut another one. No antiseptic, no sorry. he was incredibly rough, and looked annoyed if I winced. It’s not like I made a scene, I was very quiet.
There was no conversation happening between us. There were a lot of people getting their nails done at the same time, and it didn’t seem like any customers were speaking with their nail technicians either. I don’t really mind if people don’t wanna talk, but it really was so uncomfortable, especially with how rough he was being.
He cut my nails in a way that made them more flimsy and unstable. Easier to tear. Not really connected to the base on the sides of the nail very well. I hope that makes sense. One of my nails has broken off already because of it.
The polish itself is a pretty color, but he held the magnet over them for too long. It’s more like a stripe than a cat eye. Not gonna lie it’s a bit disappointing.
After, he told me to go wash my hands. I left my purse on the chair at his station to do so. My pinky bled a LOT after washing.
When I turned around, he was holding the purse, trying to hand it to me. Right behind the sinks is a checkout counter.
I felt so uncomfortable about this. His station was one row away from the checkout counter. I would’ve much rather had grabbed it myself.
I felt very pressured about tipping while paying for the service. He loomed over me as I was trying to sign the receipt. I don’t get my nails done very often, and I had never been here before. I never will come here again because of that man.
Hope he enjoyed his $5 tip. Not worth the $50. I want a refund.
Norma told me the wax might not be "good." Then Jen comes over, and they speak in Vietnamese. Next thing I know, I'm getting my eyebrows waxed. The wax was NOT good, and she waxed my eye lids and eyebrows. Pulling off skin and burning me. I will be contacting better business bureau and licensing and regulatory affairs of Michigan. They maimed my eyes!
If I could give zero stars I would. Definitely do not recommend this place! I went in for a simple fill and left with my nails throbbing in pain and bleeding. The lady that I had insisted on giving me a new set although I just got a full set two weeks ago. She then tells me she’s going to do a full set for the same price as a fill. So I’m like whatever as long as my nails look good and last. This lady then takes a nail tip and shoves it in between my nail and the acrylic. I told her at this point I’d just like to soak my nails off and leave. She sees I was in pain and bleeding and CONTINUED to proceed prying them off and did nothing about the bleeding. After she was done she goes no “no charge I don’t charge you today” and “go wash your hands”. I got up and washed my hands and she already had the next person in her chair. There was no sanitation or nothing done besides throwing away the paper towel that my fingers had bled all over. I was not offered band aids or even told that she was sorry! I left crying and don’t think I can ever go back or get my nails done again, I am horrified from this experience. This place outta be shut down!
I did not have a good experience today. I usually see Helen, and she does great! She is nice and efficient. She was on vacation, so I just took a number. I was paired with (I believe her name was Norma, but not sure) a girl who was not very nice. She kept moving my arm aggressively, and commented about how crooked my pinkies were. My nails look terrible, and she did not even do a top coat on my left hand- just the right. On top of this, I need to wash my hands, and their sink wasn’t in working condition. This makes me seriously question their cleanliness.. how are they washing their hands/ cleaning materials? Yikes! Picture is with no top coat.
Horrible wait time I sat at a table after my number was called for 40 minutes before anyone even started on me, horrible service, horrible results. You can literally see my actual nails underneath the acrylics (how ugly) The white “V” is not evenly placed on any of my nails. And I spent $60!!!!!! Not to mention they are rude as heck. Will never give them my money ever again. Horrible experience.
