Bro. Don’t get the spicy curry (phall). It made my stomach hurt. ???? too much ghost pepper & habanero. It’s basically great food and service but this restaurant is closing at the end of 2024. Losing business is gonna close this place up. :( better catch it before it closes shop. The cultural curries are legit… just really wish I could have tried something that was not going to ruin me. lol.
My favorite place in all of san diego for 20 years. I'm so so sad they're closed now, but so thankful for the memories that unique and incredible place holds.
Hidden gem, great food, so sad to see it go. Owners are very down to earth. I like the veggie tempura and basically everything else I’ve ever tried here. Also love that they serve big two towns ciders. Delicious. Dessert is great too.
We ordered three different curries - None of them were exceptional, but all of them were very good. We ordered two Asian curries and one Indian curry. The Penang was the best, so I asked for extra Penang sauce for my Indian curry that felt dry. Order the Penang without hesitation! Totally child-friendly and does fulfill curry cravings!
Great curries, but a bit pricey without a coupon.
Prices have increased and the portions are small. Quality still remains good. Got the Tikka Masala Chicken. It was very tasty. Update: Got the Panang Curry Chicken. Expensive for the portion you get, but very tasty.
I'm not sure which Curry they specialize more in, but the Caribbean one is definitely not it. The Japanese Chicken Katsu was okay but definitely not even close to the best one I've had. We kindly told the waitress how almost inedible the Caribbean Curry was and she was very nice and asked if we wanted something else instead, so we replaced that with a Vegtarian Japanese one. We got Puff Curry as an appetizer and that was also very okay.
We recently had World Curry cater for an office party. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
They really worked with us on accommodations- some of our team members are gluten-free.
I highly recommend their service for your next event!
World Curry is awesome. I've been eating here since they opened, almost 3 decades ago. I would eat here almost every day if I could.
All orders can be made to any spice level, but for me, the hotter the better. Owner and staff are always friendly.
