We stopped in at lunch as we drove by. My dad had said he remembers this place being here for many many years.
He got a fried flounder sandwich. I ordered fish and chips (Cod) as well as a cup of lobster bisque. The food was absolutely delicious. We were talking to the guy next to us who ordered oysters, soup, a lobster roll and he too was commenting how good his was as well.
I have photos of what we are taking home, as the meals were plenty large enough to be 2 meals. We will enjoy this again tomorrow for lunch as well.
Lobster was amazing.
I dont know why they gets only 4.3 stars.
$36 for this big lobster was a deal.

This was my 1st time there. So many times, I would drive by, and it was crowded. I threw caution to the wind, I will wait if I must.
Parking is ridiculous. There were people parking on the shoulder of the side street road. Handicapped parking, we might as well say, there isn't any. I only say 1 spot. (But could be wrong).
The place was bigger than I thought. They, take reservations and you can bring your oen bottle of wine. They have an extremely limited wine list that is only sold by the bottle. Which makes it tough for someone who only wants 1 glass of wine (no other alcoholic drinks are sold there).
The food was poor ! The calamari was tough, and the sauce was red water. Nothing had flavor !
The dinner was the same. The fish and chips tasted like cardboard. Some ordered chicken strips and got fried breast. The paper on the table was thicker.
The service was the only reason it got 2 stars. Everyone went out of their way. They made an intolerable dinner worth it.
This olace is an older adults place, although it did have a children's menu.
My thought is just to keep on driving.
When you walk in, it looks like a cozy house. There is no official, stop here sign but they greet you with lots of smiles. I found this place to be very cozy and friendly. The menu is pretty extensive. I tried the crab wonton, which were the BEST I've ever had! Hubby had the Fried Calamari dinner, which he couldn't finish. I even helped, but it was a large portion.
I had a dozen oysters and clams, which were HALF the cost and super Yummy. Last, our server Catherine, was OUTSTANDING! Super friendly and had great energy. Can't wait to go back very soon!
If I could leave 0 stars I would. My family used to own fish markets. The octopus they sold me was bad. Smelled horrible and was like blubber. Called and manager said we don’t know how to cook it. My family has been making octopus for generations. Do not buy from them. They don’t back their products. Would have made everyone very sick.
food is no longer tasty, no waitress service, plastic silverware and ridiculously expensive now!!!!! the market side of the business is selling lobsters for $9.99 ... We ate in the restaurant all they did is steam the $9.99 lobster and charged us $39.99 for the meal which included Greasy french fries and coleslaw!!!!!!!
Fish ????was ultra fresh and being fileted as we chose from the hundred + selections. The servers were extremely friendly and super fast.
OMG, everybody could not believe how sweet and tasty all the ????seafood was and had to know where we got it from. Everyone will know Wolley's Fish Market, Howell, N.J. is the best around. ????????2 thumbs up.
