Eating here, at Woodys Famous Cheese Steaks is a joy in its self. Same Crew with same “no BS” attitude as the cooks get down to business on their steak sub rolls which rock, and make this sandwich what it is. Great action from their kitchen, also an outside covered seating area, as well as people watching and Piedmont Park onlookers take lane. In final, quick in and out service with a tasty product that feeds.

I will say it’s the closest to an originally Philly cheesesteak…Usually the bread is soft but the outer part is a bit crunchy, never soggy or very soft.

For a good experience I will say visit during cooler seasons.. the building doesn’t have cooling air conditioning..????..

This was my first time visiting this Atlanta staple. Most definitely did not disappoint! I had the mushroom beef cheesesteak, no edits, just as it comes. It was delicious. The beef is finely chopped just like should be. I can’t wait to return.
I was visiting my hometown and wanted to hit up one of my favorites spots that I would frequent when I was at Grady High. Sad to say Woody's has gone downhill. I ordered a cheesesteak and just got steak on bread with maybe half a slice of cheese ????

7pm on a Thursday, two people in line when I arrived. We ordered online, which limits any customization. Pick up at the window, not too long a wait. The place is adorably cozy, but parking is quite difficult. We had milkshakes and cheesesteaks, all of which were delicious. One had chili, the other had mushrooms. Would definitely come again if in the area. (Been wanting to come to this landmark since the late 80’s! It did. It disappoint)
This place is always a hit! I’ve been several times recently & always forget to take pictures of my sandwich before I eat because it’s that good. They are always friendly when you come in, they are super fast & everything comes out hot off the grill. They have several options, I haven’t made it past the cheesesteaks yet! Every time I’m near Woody’s I have to stop by to get a quick meal. They won’t disappoint, you will leave with a smile for sure. They sell ice cream & a variety of shakes. Prices are $10-$20 a person, they do serve beer & have a lot of outdoor seating, with some seating inside as well.
The cheesesteaks were great, but if you're a big eater like me it probably won't fill you up too much. The vibe in this place is great but keep in mind that the inside of the store is tiny so when there's a line, it can get cramped up pretty quick! There's a lot of outside seating which I would recommend on a nice day. As for parking, there's probably 5 spots available and they'll probably be taken by the time you get there. There's a parking lot in the plaza close by, I would park there and walk over. The Nutella milkshake was sensational!! Overall, I would be back, food was 10/10.
