Best WLM Reviews

Stopped by in the early morning and got 2 breakfast burritos. They were very generous with the portions and the new owner and staff were super friendly!
Service was top notch. Food was okay. The location was really nice. Outdoor was clean and again, the folks working here are great.
Great hidden gem. This place is top-notch. We make a point to stop here every morning breakfast when we are in Avila Beach. We highly recommend the avocado toast (amazing!), home-made everything bagels and fresh baked pastries! (Under new ownership. Ignore the old bad reviews before April 2024.)
This morning, I enjoyed a delicious Avocado Caprese Toast at this delightful neighborhood market. My family also ordered their homemade Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese and scrambled eggs cooked to order. Everything was made to perfection and with TLC. I would highly recommend this market for a wholesome breakfast or a casual lunch. They are probably the best breakfast spot in Avila Beach.
Under new management, this little place still has great pastries. I ordered French toast for breakfast, and it was not the best I've had, but it was good. Came with a tiny cup of fruit. I also bought a bran muffin with oatmeal topping to-go for my husband and he loved it. It was a very generous size. I appreciate being able to eat outside, especially after a long walk on the Bob Jones trail. Staff was friendly.
First impressions - Young man taking orders at the register needs to have a better knowledge of the menu, show some personality, preferably smile and be welcoming. That said, my half tuna sandwich barely filled half of the half piece of bread. I requested it toasted and was told - not on a half order. What?
Food was bland, potato salad was the only thing with some flavor. The outdoor patio was the highlight, as it faces the walking trail and trees.
If you are allergic or suffer from food intolerance, this place may make you very sick. For example, the salad pictured was billed as gluten free, dairy free by the order taker/cashier. It came with a vinaigrette that I poured over it. A vinaigrette is normally gluten and dairy free: it’s normally composed of vinegar and olive oil for a light, zippy, heart-healthy salad dressing. One can add Dijon mustard for some flavor complexity and creaminess, maple syrup or honey for a little sweetness that balances the vinegar, garlic for oomph, and salt and pepper — but cheese? Who serves a vinaigrette blended with cheese proceeds to a customer that made it very clear she will get sick due a casein (milk) intolerance if served cream, butter, or cheese? Cashier’s attitude was condescending and self righteous when asked about this post fact. Money was refunded, but I will now be sick for 3-6 days. Avoid this place until staff and things are better informed and accomodating about allergies.
We arrived at 6:54 and were told we couldn’t order pizzas because they close at 7:30, which is fine. We ordered some overpriced sandwiches to go, with sighs and scoffs and eye rolling coming from the guy working in the kitchen. I paid $80 for 3 sandwiches and some soft drinks and then asked at 7:05 if I could use the restroom. The man said no, because they close at 7:30. I’m not sure how long he spends in the restroom, but I would have been out of there by 7:07 tops. They were surly and rude and inhospitable. The food was gas station quality at best except for the tri tip sandwich which was pretty good.
They should close at 7:00 or earlier if they only pay employees to be there until 7:30.
