Best WLM Reviews

Woodstocks is probably the best in town. I haven’t tried every pizza place, so couldn’t say for sure, but from what I have, it is. I love the cauliflower crust and get it well done. They almost always make it perfect. I love when a place pays attention to custom orders. The salads are always good and fresh, too. There is a ton of room to dine, but gets very busy during peak hours. Lots to love about this place!
Went there for dinner. Didn’t see any parking but food was good. Ordered bbq chicken pizza with no bacon added pineapple. Have to order in the front first and they will give you a machine and bring the food on your table. Service was ok overall.
Try this again! Had an amazing SLO Chamber event in the big room and it was spacious and perfect for our needs. The pizzas and salads were delivered on time and fresh and the guests loved the food. Nick, the manager, was kind, professional and spot on with all our requests. Book your next event there - you won’t regret it! Top notch food and service for big groups!
So I ordered a small pizza, BBQ and asked for tomatoes added to it. They legit just tossed on tomatoes after they baked it. That is not what I ordered and paid over priced for this pizza! Bullshit!
The food and atmosphere are great! The service is very slow for takeout. I ordered an hour in advance and still had to wait 30 min. Even after it was done I probably waited 10 more minutes because they never called me back up. I had to tell them to check again and it was all done. The takeout system does not work well. They need better organization.
Long line on a Tuesday night, don’t bother leaving a tip as no one ever comes to your table besides to bring the food. We got thin crust and it wasn’t really thin crust. I’m from NJ where we have the best pizza and this pizza literally tastes like frozen pizza. Not exaggerating. Way too overpriced and it is not good. It’s find your own seating and we had to sit at a dirty table with dishes on it, no one ever came to clean it up… literally. You have to grab your own plates and utensils from across the room. Fill up your own soda. Wings are good though, they just need to cook it more as they are slimy. The atmosphere is cool though. $60 for an X-Large pizza and wings…. I will not be coming back
Let’s be honest, the pizza here is terrible. It’s floppy, doughy, and watery (red sauce). There were two offshift workers sitting at the bar next to me and asked if I liked it. I said no and they said “yeah.. the pizza here is pretty terrible and the service is equally as bad. We all agreed we have no clue how the ratings are so high. It’s a hectic atmosphere if you’re looking for some pizza and a beer. My advice.. just go elsewhere
I’m vacation in SLO for a night after watching the fireworks at Pismo Beach for the 4th of July. Stopped in around 10pm and the place was fairly busy. I love SLO and visit multiple times a year as I live two hours north in Monterey. I have been to Woodstock many times, including their sister location in Santa Cruz. The pizza is always top notch and they have a good selection of popular craft beer.
This location is usually busy every night I’ve been here as it gives the local college kids a place to eat and drink into the wee hours of the morning. That being said, it can get a bit lively as some of the college kids haven’t yet learned to control the volume of their voices after a few beers. To be fair, some of us never learn that skill! So if you’re looking for a nice quiet spot, it’s hit or miss here(most of the kids aren’t able to drink anyway, so it’s just kids being kids.)
Sports were playing on the TV’s and if you’re i to watch king someone prepare your food, the kitchen is wide open for scrutiny.
As I’ve said, I’ve been coming here for years. They’ve really made a lot of improvements from my first visits. The restrooms used to be down a long hallway, but now they are in the actual restaurant.
There are two different rooms to enjoy your dinner. The front room is your typical pizza place restaurant style forum. The ‘backyard’ is more sport-centric with a second bar to order pitchers of whatever beer you want to enjoy.
If you’re more an ‘eat under the stars’ type of person, they’ve opened a patio since the (pizza) pan-demic (sorry, not sorry), where you can see the stars and people watch, which is always fun in downtown SLO.
If there’s a better pizza place in San Luis Obispo, I’ve yet to find it. I LOVE their sriracha pizza. It’s my go to pizza when visiting. But right outside the door, there was a sign declaring that Street Taco Pizza was back and my interest was piqued. It was as delicious as it sounds.
My only gripe - and this is a single instance over dozens of visits, was that while ordering, one employee interrupted us to speak with our cashier, sharing some funny anecdote unrelated to work. Both were very young and probably not of drinking age and I battled myself on whether to include the experience in my review at all. But some patrons aren’t as patient or polite as I am and I worry that they might garner the wrath of someone less tranquilo.
Otherwise, I can’t say enough great things about their pizza. Check them out.
