Unfortunately, our first experience with the Woodstock Inn has made us feel unlikely to return. The first misstep was when housekeeping neglected to clean our room and make the beds our first morning there. When I told the woman seated at the front desk that our room was overlooked by housekeeping, she smiled and said"OK." I requested that housekeeping go in early to do the room (which was done), but the least she could have done was apologize for the error. She definitely needs some customer service training.|It is very off putting when you are looking at the Room Service menu and see that you are to be penalized for ordering Room Service with a $5 delivery fee and a 22% gratuity automatically added to the bill when the restaurants did not charge automatic gratuities when dining in house. And the choices for Room Service are a small fraction of the actual restaurant menus. It's as if Woodstock Inn offers Room Service but is telling you they would rather not. And speaking of dining, the menu selections at both Red Rooster and Richardson's Tavern are extremely limited. The food is OK, but not what I would expect for an establishment charging over $600 per night. The breakfast buffet at Red Rooster left a lot to be desired for $30 or $22 a pop.|This morning, when checking out early, we went to the front desk but no one was there. There was a lady seated around the corner at the Concierge desk who noticed us, but she never looked up to ask if we needed assistance. I had to walk back from the front desk to the Concierge desk and ask if this is where we should check out, when she finally looked up and said, "Yes." She did not attempt to move to the front desk to speak to us nor did she invite us over to where she was. We were basically just ignored until I spoke up.|Our conclusion is that although there are many who clearly have wonderful experiences at the Woodstock Inn, we feel that it is just not worth the rates charged. We have been to much better places for a lot less money!
Hubby and I stayed three nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our room was lovely and the grounds and common areas are beautiful. The hotel had a gift and a card for us, a very nice touch.||We loved the bar at the Red Rooster and also managed to get in one night for a good dinner at the Tavern which was always packed. Service was nice. You can’t beat the location. I loved the early morning coffee offered at Red Rooster.||The only real complaint is the bathroom toilet seat was plastic and for these prices the hotel should provide a real toilet seat.
Perfect stay. We spent a beautiful fall overnight at the Woodstock Inn and it couldn’t have been better. The Inn itself was gorgeous, and we enjoyed two meals there that were wonderful. The location made it easy to hike, bike, walk, and shop. The gym facility they offer access to was phenomenal and made it easy for us to shower after check out and a days full of activities. Highly recommend this Inn for a special getaway.
Ashley and the entire team at the Woodstock Inn absolutely hit it out of the park for two weddings we planned there this past summer! From start to finish, they were a joy to work with—highly professional, attentive, and dedicated to making every detail perfect.
The level of service was impeccable, from the early planning stages to the incredible hospitality on the wedding days. Everything looked absolutely gorgeous, and the events ran seamlessly, leaving our clients and their guests absolutely thrilled.
If you’re considering hosting your wedding or event at the Woodstock Inn, I can’t recommend it enough. The venue is stunning, the team is exceptional, and the overall experience is nothing short of extraordinary. I can’t wait to work with them again!
Probably the most gorgeous setting for a hotel you can imagine. The grounds and actual hotel are stunning. The staff were helpful and pleasant, but still some things that could be better. We were unable to get anyone to answer our room phone to answer a question. There is also not enough parking when you take into consideration the hotel, spa, and restaurants. While not necessarily the hotel's fault, it is difficult to find any not fine/not expensive dining options in Woodstock (their two very expensive restaurants included). Maybe having more casual options would be helpful for visitors and guests.
Still, overall a great hotel with well appointed rooms. Worth a stay if you are traveling through.
We were so pleased and impressed by your beyond excellent customer service. We were very touched when we got to our room and found 2 notes, one for the grandma-to-be and one for the two moms-to-be in our party. I had only mentioned this briefly when we made our reservation 2 months earlier. In addition to the notes, we were gifted 2 baby Woodstock t-shirts and treated to champagne glasses with Prosecco for grandma and non-alcoholic ciders for the mamas! Lovely!
We had similarly wonderful service ( and food!) for breakfast at The Inn and dinner in the dining room. Our spa treatments were also terrific. While there was a slight mix-up for one of us, the spa staff more than made up for it. From arrival to literally departure, the staff was helpful and friendly. We all commented that we completely got the feeling there was no request that your staff would not try their best to accommodate. Can’t wait to return!
The Inn is a 4.5 the staff a 3.5.||They are not problem solvers, nor are they apologetic should there be a misstep on the part of the hotel. |I had a 5:45pm massage at the spa and 3 different staffers told me multiple times that they closed at 7pm. They really closed at 6:45. The cover was on the hot tub at 6:45pm, the steam was turned off and the doors were locked. At 6:55pm When I asked the staffer in the spa if the front desk had dropped off my room key (they told me they would do that during my massage) she said she didn’t have anything and the doors were locked so they couldn’t get in. Not helpful. She COULD have said “I don’t see anything let me call the front desk and find out for you.” |In the middle of the night the people next to us decided to sleep train their kid and for over an hour he was screaming. In the morning, the front desk made no apologies or offer to move us, instead I had to ask if they were leaving or if they could move us. Not helpful.|When I asked if the pillows were feather, the woman said “I don’t know.” She could have said, “let me find out” or “let me have housekeeping bring you hypoallergenic pillows just in case.” Not helpful. |My point is the staff had multiple opportunities during my stay to problem solve and each time they just didn’t do anything to help the guest. |The Inn is cute. There is no fitness room or pool on site. They do have a facility 1.5 miles away.
The Woodstock Inn never disappoints! From the Valets (who have all been there for years) and who always warmly greet you when you arrive to the desk clerks, housekeepers, waitstaff and all others associated with the Inn, the experience is simply spectacular. We always visit in October--the Inn's landscape is tremendous--pumpkins, mums, cornstalks--all add to the natural beauty of the color of the changing leaves all around the Inn. The rooms are so cozy and relaxing--beds are the BEST, great comfy chairs in the rooms, all the amenities you could possibly need are provided in the bathroom--including luxurious soap and hair products. It is a wonderful way to spend a night or a week. It's always hard to leave--but we immediately begin look forward to our next visit....
