Best WLM Reviews
Was double-charged for my room - the hotel charged me even though I had already paid through the third-party travel company. A month after bringing it to their attention (and having the travel agent try to resolve it), and apparently nobody can get a response. I've turned it over to my credit card company.
Rooms were basic. Mine was clean. It was not worth the $100 I paid. The building is very strange - it feels a lot more like a dormitory than a hotel/decent motel. The location is what it is - it is not a great area, but adjacent to JBLM for your military connection needs. Don't leave anything of value in your car.
Definitely will NOT stay again.
This is my go-to place since I've had the house fire... great people, quiet, restful, laundry room functions and best of all, all rooms have tubs that are not "updated" and too skinny. These are roomy tubs and easy to get out of! Thank you ❤
What a nightmare. Made a reservation online through their website. When I got here, I was told the cost would be almost $100 more. After a lengthy argument, I was given my room key. It wasn't the type of room I reserved. When I went back downstairs to get into the correct type, I was told no, that I could keep it or leave. And it was filthy. The toilet has poop in it, the floor of the whole room is sticky and you can see where things were spilled and just pushed around. Definitely wasn't cleaned. Other people's hair on the toilet, in the shower and in the sink. The lady at the front desk had a terrible attitude. I drove across the country to get here, definitely didn't need the attitude for things that were certainly not my fault. I was told there is no one I can call to speak to.
My experience… As soon as I entered the room it smelled like greasy food. The floors were dirty and there was hair of all kinds. In the corners you could tell they had never cleaned at any time. The walls had food residue. The bathroom and bathtub were very clean, but the toilet was disgusting in the Close Toilet Seat. The window curtain was full of dust. Literally the room was not cleaned properly for the client. I had to clean my room for 3 hours. They should pay me to clean it!
The location is great—close to many places to eat and shop. However, the rooms and service are not so great. There are hidden fees that are not discussed when you reserve a room, like a $150 security deposit, and then if you have more than one car, it's $10 a day for each additional car.
Now we can talk room. If I am not mistaken, all hotels use bleach to clean their sheets. I found blood stains on my sheets. When I called the front desk, they would not send housekeeping to change them. They stated that we had to come down and get new sheets from them and do it ourselves. My fiance went down twice and got sent back with the wrong-size sheets. On top of that the front desk help had an attitude with him and found the whole situation funny.
DEN OF THIEVES - I am referring to management staff not the other guests. If you read through the reviews, you will see their MO is to try and find a way to kick you out and keep your money from PAID FOR but UNUSED nights. This happened to a friend of ours recently who had just booked a 1-week stay and was kicked out and they kept all of his money and would not refund him. Our stay had a similar event, though I was only out 1 night's charge, which I have my CC company charging back to them. They cited we were tampering with the fire/smoke detector, but it went off silently within 5 minutes of us entering the room, we were unpacking and the only thing we had done was turn up the heater. The front desk person came in and looked around, asked us if we noticed any smoke or fire which we did not. They sent maintenance to our room the next day, and he tried to enter the room UNANNOUNCED while my fiancé was still in bed! He came back later and determined the detector was broken, but not by us. The last event was my fiancé observed a pedestal ashtray laying in the stairwell between floors 1 and 2. She picked it up and set it outside the door in the 2nd floor hallway and was planning to take it back down and outside when she went back out, but they blamed her for vandalism or tampering or some such BS, and then proceeded to tell us the next morning we had 20 minutes to vacate the room. Yes, the place is cheap, and you get what you pay for, until they kick you out and keep your money! Better to look elsewhere.
Terrible terrible. I’ve literally been here for 2 hours and the service is ridiculous. I checked in the toilet was clogged so I told the front desk so they can fix it. They took my ID and handed me a plunger…which I thought was crazy. I tried unclogging it myself and I was unsuccessful (this toilet was clearly clogged before I even checked in). So I told them and they told me they can’t do anything about it until Monday (it’s Saturday today). I asked for a room change and they said no. Then I asked for the managers information and they said no lol absolutely ridiculous. Don’t book here!! Terrible service, staff look like they hate their jobs. We all do, at least pretend and be a decent human while you’re doing it. Also the whole property is covered in dog poop.
The room smelled like feet, there was a greasy film on every service, the desk person was rude, she tried to give me someone else's reservation, they charged my card twice, when I told the front desk person about my issues she said they wouldn't change my room, she acted inconvenienced by guests presents. When checkout time came, there was no one at the front desk and no instructions on how to check out. We had to call a weird phone number just to be told to slide our key cards under the security shutter. I wish I could give zero stars.
