This place is a whole mess! Booked a night and the attendant, who was really sweet assigned us a room that had bugs on the bath mat, a filthy fridge and an odor I would describe as if a dirty diaper and a cigarette had a kid. I went back to the front desk and was assigned another room. The attendant walked me to the room and although it still smelled like someone had smoked a thousand filterless cigarettes, it looked much cleaner than the last. So we accepted the room. Once we began to settle in we started to see some unsettling and unsanitary stuff. I have pics and video. The lobby had already closed so we cleaned as best we could and went to bed. I went to the front desk upon checkout and showed the day shift attendant the pics. She was appalled and came to the room to see it for herself. She was disgusted and assured me that the managers would handle the situation. I spoke to Rod. I sent him the footage. He said he would call, I ended up calling him. He informed me that his boss would not indemnify me because I should have noticed all the nasty stuff sooner. I think it’s management’s job to make sure the staff is cleaning appropriately. I don’t work for Woodspring. The location on Bowman Road is better, but the cigarette smoke is bananas.
The front desk attendant was so sweet, but the place was very dirty. There were dead bugs in our room and bathroom. Corridors and elevators need a hood cleaning.
Been staying for about 3 weeks since we've gotten into macon. Relocating to the area from Michigan this place is nice for the price it has a full refrigerator, a stove top, and microwave well worth the money.
The prices are very reasonable here and the rooms are very clean, and its fairly quiet, the only issue i persistently dealt with this location is the unwanted male attention and harassment. There is a majority male population here and it can make things uncomfortable if you are in the minority. As soon as you pull up outside you can see men peering through the windows, coming outside and staring, I have had instances of walking out my room to the laundry room or other places and begin followed to and from, both areas by men. Or I have had men on the opposite side of my room tapping on the walls to get my attention, its constant and ongoing.. PLEASE address and share with residence the importance of respecting boundaries and cease in these behaviors! It's intrusive, disrespectful and frightening as well, it really needs to be addressed and stopped! this is the reason i am never coming back.
There has been vast improvements here.
Renovations and great staff .Roderick is awesome, very helpful and goes above and beyond. He has excellent customer service. I just wish there were 24/7 staff available at the front desk, but they mentioned they have security outside which is great.
I was skeptical to book this room bc of all the bad reviews but i needed something reasonably priced for one night. The property location was clean no trash or random ppl hanging outside. I was helped by Asia at the front desk and she was super nice and helpful. The room was clean no bugs and the bed was comfortable which was all i wanted. Of course this isn’t a five star hotel but it is wayyyyyyy better than what you would expect for a room at this price. I would definitely stay again. I think they are under new management and they are doing a great job.
Okay first and foremost the room had roaches! Make sure to buy some raid if you plan on staying here and if you plan on staying long they’re going to give you one of the older rooms but if your staying for a night or so they’ll give you the updated room, but regardless roaches are present. The staff isn’t considerate and don’t care about you or your kids unless you’re paying for something. Was paying weekly and was leaving on a Monday bc I was moving into my home and the front desk lady (manager or whatever) rushed me and my kids out the room even though they weren’t rushing to clean it bc we were originally supposed to stay for another 2 weeks so I know that room wasn’t set to be rented to somebody else but yet we were still basically rushed out bc we weren’t staying for the extra 2 weeks. Housekeeping ladies were nice at least. People seem to mind their business as far as other guest (at least from what I’ve seen), close to restaurants and stores are walking distance, gotta pay for more than one device for Wi-Fi moral of the story it’s decent if you have nowhere else to go but it’s still west side Macon so yeah good luck if you plan on staying there
Awesome Woodspring experience, the staff was excellent, the room was clean and the place was quiet. I definitely recommend it!!
