Best WLM Reviews

We stopped here for the night to rest on our way through. I didn't realize it was an extended stay hotel, but that was fine. It was nice enough. Beds could have been worse. There was everything provided in our room, so I'm not sure what other reviews meant that there wasn't. There was soap, shampoos, tp, towels, and even plates, cups, utensils and dish detergents for the little dishwasher. No breakfast, but coffee in the lobby. And the lady the evening we checked in was super nice.
I booked this hotel for my daughter’s move in weekend at Liberty University. The prices were considerably higher because of that, and this was an instance that we didn’t get what we paid for. This is an extended stay hotel, which I didn’t realize. Basically that means they expect you to provide just about everything for yourself. The beds are fairly thin mattresses with thin bedding, we had to ask for two extra towels, as there were four of us and we had two towels. There are no hand towels. One tiny bar of soap. An even tinier bottle of shampoo. There’s a kitchen, but no dishes, pots or pans. I could get past all of that, but there were bugs everywhere. We had tiny roaches and some other bug in the kitchen area, ants in the bathroom, along with a dead roach on the floor in the bathroom. The bugs were so bad that my daughter had put her backpack on a high shelf and still had a bug in it when she moved it. I’ll have to leave all of our stuff in the garage for a while when we get home. The room looked like it hadn’t been swept or vacuumed in a while. There wasn’t a breakfast and only one morning did they even have coffee. No coffee pot or anything in the room. It is bare bones. Two beds, two metal chairs, and the bathroom. And it was still $150/night. After long days moving our daughter into a dorm, we wanted a comfortable place to go back and relax. Unfortunately, this wasn’t it. We won’t be back to stay here.
We reserved a double queen room for a Friday check in and Sunday check out. We had some car issues come up and needed to stay an extra night. Extending the stay was easy and hassle free.
The rates were wonderful for a weekend (We spent half what we had expected to spend when first planning a stay in Lynchburg.
The staff was professional and friendly. We had no problems getting assistance or having questions answered.
The room was not huge, but it was decent sized. Having the full size refrigerator, microwave, and a stove top made eating while in town a lot less expensive and a lot healthier. We would have liked to have a coffee maker or at the very least coffee available in the lobby all of the time, but that was minor. (Make sure you remember your cooking utensils, pans, silverware, dish soap, etc)
The room was clean (including linens and we definitely checked that) and bug free. The air conditioner worked fantastically. The room did not have any odd or foul odors. The TV worked as it should and we had a good variety of channels available. The beds were very comfortable! Much more comfortable than most hotel beds I've ever stayed in. The only qualm we had was that the blankets could have been a but thicker, but that may just be a summer thing.
The bathroom was spacious enough a wheelchair could easily access the amenities. The water pressure was great. The tub is a standard small size, but worked for my 8 year old to bathe in (he is Autistic and has sensory issues so takes baths rather than showers.
The hotel is secure and electronic key is requires to enter anywhere the rooms accessible (including from the lobby to the hallways).
There is only one elevator, but we really didn't run into any issues with that.
This hotel is pet friendly, so if you have allergies you may want to ask if they have rooms that do not allow pets.
Overall, 10/10 definitely recommend.
Extremely upset with how this hotel handled my reservation. I booked through a third party company. I booked the room for Oct 21-23. I even put in the note I’d be checking in between 8-9 am. I did not need the room on the night of Oct 21. I needed the room first thing on the 22nd therefore I booked two nights to make sure my mother would have somewhere to shower and sleep on the day of the 22nd. I go to check in and I am told I was marked as a no show. I said but I booked two days because your policy says I couldn’t check In until 3 pm. So to make sure I could have the room when I needed it I had to book two days. They took my money! I had to pay for the room again through them that day in order to get the reservation I had already paid for. They literally took my money and the desk said it could not be refunded! I was not a no show I needed this room for one day because my mother who is in her 60’s had been at the hospital for 4 days around the clock staying with her uncle who was in critical condition she needed somewhere to sleep for a few hours and to shower! Yes I paid for the room a second time because my mother needed it! But it is absolutely ridiculous this hotel stole $169 from me for a room she literally needed for 5 hours. I will not use this hotel again! If I paid for two days that room should have been mine for two days no matter when I got there to check in throughout that stay! After reading reviews it seems this company takes a lot of people’s money when you book through a third party! It’s not right! If I pay for two days and you have a sign for 24/7 check in as long as I am out by the time I paid for. I should be able to use that room anytime during my paid for booking whether it’s one hour of time or 24 hours of time!
If you are looking for inexpensive Spartan overnight accommodations in Lynchburg this is it. There are full size refrigerators and a stove top in room, however there are no kitchen utensils and no dishes to support any meal preparation. Also the only hotel provided food offering is from two vending machines and coffee in the lobby for the morning. If there was a high note, it would be the bed mattress. They were very comfortable. Noise at all hours of the night but your in a university town and the joint was jumping with young people. Not my first choice when in Lynchburg.
It was fine for what it was, I was in room 432 A cheapish place to stay for one night. The bed was just a mattress on a steel box spring Holder, which was fine but it wasn't even, it rocked back and forth like a table with uneven legs I used a towel to stabilize it. The bottom sheet was half on the mattress, like someone didn't care to do it right. The pillows smelled musty which was kinda nasty. I would not have stayed if I was with my family. But for a one night short notice stay it was ok.
We checked in at 12:30 am on a week day. The hotel was almost full. Room rates were great compared to the other hotels in the area. I was quoted the wrong price on the phone and when I got to the hotel they honored the lower quoted price. Our room was a little dirty. Hairball on the floor in the bathroom and some food remnants in the kitchenette sink. No carpet in the room which I found odd. One staff member was outstanding and she literally saved us so my headache that I will always be grateful to her.
We were disposed to no fault of our own when I found woodsprings. I must say in the beginning I was a little nervous about staying in a hotel for an extended period of time. However that quickly changed the staff made us feel right at home from management all the way to housekeeping. Jazz, cheyanne,Yolanda were so helpful with anything we needed always there to help us out. Stephanie and Carrie were fanominal housekeepers (my blind autistic daughter befriend Stephanie very quickly) the lobby and rooms were very clean. I loved that the mattresses had protectors on them. The water pressure in the shower was sooo nice. We stayed on 2 different floors started on 2nd moved to 1st ( I wanted a dish washer lol) the two burner stove top was just enough along with the microwave and full size fridge. Coffee in the main lobby from 5- 10 am was nice. With it being an extended stay there was no continental breakfast but was not missed. If we ever need a place to stay again you can sure bet this will be the place for us. Thanks guys for making us feel at home when we didn't have one!
