The woman at the front desk was very nice, and that was absolutely the only perk of this hotel. I had rushed to book and didn’t read the reviews. I wish I had.
The furniture was all broken… patched holes in the walls… but I just needed a place to sleep for the night so I just ignored the red flags. I was woken up by screaming in the parking lot, and when I looked downstairs and woman was her weave ripped off by a man who I can only assume was a boyfriend. Her kids came out of the car and started hitting the man. She was wailing, a man came over to help her, and the boyfriend took off. Cops came and sorted it out.
Everything seemed quiet, I was just scrolling my phone before trying to go back to sleep and then all of a sudden a creepy bug ran past me on the bed. I jumped up, turned on the lights and multiple cockroaches scattered. I packed up my shit and my dog, and went down to the lobby and told the poor woman (who was super nice) that I wouldn’t be staying and why.
I guess I can thank the dude that ripped that woman’s weave off, that I was awake and not sleeping with cockroaches.
Now I’m napping at a rest stop. I guess this was a life lesson… always read the reviews.
Literal roach motel! Stayed here for a few months and saw roaches every single day I was there. Good luck getting sleep on the third floor, they allow some family to let their dogs bark all day and night relentlessly, drove me crazy! After asking to be moved to a different room, I then had to deal with the refrigerator not working at all in the new room. After a week of saying something about it, I decided to leave and as I’m leaving the maintenance man finally decides to come to fix the fridge! The jokes just write themselves. They had everyone leave their rooms for hours one day so that a roach exterminator can spray the rooms and there was still roaches after they left. The elevator inspection is not up to date so I expect that to just collapse any day now. The door in the back of the hotel is broken so literally anyone can just walk in and do whatever they want. Just save yourself the headache and stay at a better place for a better price. This hotel desperately needs to be demolished!
Not a very good place to stay. It has roaches crawling all over the room. We told managers so they gave us another room but we still had the same problem. We were supposed to stay for a week but had to change hotels. Plus floors weren't that clean as it looked because the bottom of my feet were black after walking around. Plus some of the walls had dirt or stains on them. This is a dirty hotel!
The staff is very nice & welcoming especially Rayne. They work with you, & I never had any problems with them or my room.
Positive: The staff was nice and welcoming. The gentleman that works at night always has it smelling wonderful in there. Negative: They really need to get the roach problem under control and put it on the website like everyone else that there is a pet charge even if your pet is a service animal.
We had booked a week long stay here with friends and only stayed for one night due to a cockroach infestation. The night receptionist "understood" our complaint and told us that "it is what it is" and "what did we expect for the price."
I booked through a third party and have been fighting to get a refund for the other 6 nights and the third party hasn't been able to get a hold of the manager.
Worst experience ever.
Walked in at 4am and the desk was closed, it said to dial a number on the phone to get a staff person to assist us. Waited 20 minutes for someone to walk down and check us in, then the old lady asked for our id , it was under his name and it says on the website you can rent a room if you are 18. We even called to make sure and the lady continued to be rude and tell us that we have to be 21. We paid almost $500 for 8 day and not sure if we can get our money back. Waste of my time and $500 just to not get to stay. Very ridiculous.
RUN!!!!!!! DO NOT PASS GO DO NOT COLLECT 200 DOLLARS!!! Checked in and checked out in the same breath. For starters beds filthy had to get bedding and change sheets myself !!!!! Then they had ROACHES!!!! I ain’t seen a roach since the projects in 1997. This place needs crazy work!!! Bulldoze and rebuild!!! I ONLY GAVE ONE STAR BECAUSE I HAD TO INORDER TO LEAVE A REVIEW
