Best WLM Reviews

Myself and my puppy have been here for 2 years. They have treated both of us with respect. I have an elderly dog. It's just me and her, I love living here and the accommodations they make for both of us! Great staff!
Situated close enough to the refineries and port of Houston that you can wake up, get dressed, brush teeth, eat a grab n go breakfast, and be to work in 30 min or less. Located within walking distance to Kroger, dollar tree, and numerous fast food eats and gas stations. Makes it easier on your other half, when traveling together, to access if you are a line car family. On site laundry that accepts Apple pay and also uses an app to pay and initiate you're wash and dry and is open 24/7. Laundry also offers an affordable detergent/fabric softener vending machine if you are like me and tend to not have enough detergent for the amount of laundry you have. The rooms could use updating but that's just my personal preference. the rooms are spacious and have been well cared for. The front desk staff are friendly and the room rates are the best around for an extended stay type hotel. There is a live on site member of management as an added level of safety and convenience. They have a limited drink and snacks vending capability, though I didn't think that effects my scoring of this location since there are so many options to quench your thirst or curb a craving within a hi skip and jump away.
It's close to my job, and the rooms a pretty good. The bed frame is messed up. The whole bed moves very easily. Told the front desk but nothing has been done about it.
My family and I stayed here for 1 night and were very disgusted by the service. The attendant was not there when we were checking in or checking out. When I came to the desk to check in, nobody was there. I called the number for the attendant several times per the instructions in the lobby, but still waited and waited. Come to find out, the attendant was watching me and my family wait to be checked in while he was busy having a leisurely conversation with another guy. There was a very putrid smell in the hallways like the carpet hadn't been clean in months. When we got to the room, it was not worth the price. The room did not smell fresh and clean either. Don't EVER go to this place unless you want to waste your money. There are motels way better than this.
My stay has been an extended stay of 1 year as I work in the area. Overall it has been a good experience. Internet service is not the greatest but good enough to stream HD content on a Roku or fire stick, but for a week now it's not been working at all.
I’m LIVID to say the least … i made an expedia booking for NINE NIGHTS ($586) 8/30/24-9/8/24 … upon checking in EDDIE looked me in my face & said “ for NINE NIGHTS it’ll be $456.** “ i said ARE YOU SURE ?! it’s almost $100 less to pay at property than to pay online , he responded YES , took my payment & said “ you’re all set until sunday the EIGHTH !! “ myself & 2 children are in transitional sheltering due to the hurricane displacing us ! I went down to the front desk to extend my stay for one more night until the ninth on Monday. why would you take it upon yourself to adjust and or alter someone’s reservation that was preplanned in advance that’s not your position or place your job is to honor what it is that comes to your system if I booked for nine days you should have charged me for nine days upfront night told me that I had nine days and you charge me $456 only for seven that’s very shady & questionable To say the least, because at what point would you have realized that maybe they did not have the extra money and then what you try and send them to jail for made payments that you took upon yourself to not charge in full upfront! The lady looked at me and said I never paid for it yesterday the sixth I still owe for the seventh. I have to pay for the eighth and check out on the ninth not ONCE did any part of the staff bother calling the room knocking on the door or calling my personal cell to let me know my time has expired they were just secretly charging me to hit me with a ridiculous bill upon check out this is disgusting unprofessional & negligent behavior & put a strain on me financially because i had all the money i had mapped out … forcing me to pay $195 extra when I was told by Eddie the manager that my total for nine was $456 due to his unprofessionalism and negligence he has put a financial strain on me possibly not being able to move because i had to use my RENT MONEY to extend my stay that i thought was paid in full . I’m not understanding what his reason to lie about the price was he literally could have just charged me everything upfront . This is ABSURD to say the least ! You never know what ppl are going thru when they come to these extended stay hotels so to put them in a BIND when times are already hard & act as tho you’re helping … he needs to be FIRED !! not to mention the room was FILTHY & FILLED WITH PET HAIR , SHEETS WERE DIRTY & it smelled like a urine was sitting in the toilet included for weeks .. the smell of weed lingered the halls & the elevator reeks of dogs & urine ! i DEEP CLEANED the entire room prior to anything which should have been done by staff BEFORE CHECK IN !
WoodSpring Suites in La Porte are thieves.
I was awarded a FEMA hotel voucher, but all the hotels were full in the Houston area. I found a vacancy at WoodSpring Suites in La Porte, they took my FEMA number and asked for a credit card (which I thought was odd, since no other hotel had asked for such information). I was scheduled to check in today after 3pm. But, last night I did some research and saw reviews that said the WoodSpring Suites was unfit, unsafe and were scammers. I contacted them and asked they canceled my reservation seeing I had changed my mind, and would find another hotel. They stated that their rules required 48 hrs prior cancelation and that period had passed. I said I just made the reservation earlier today. They informed me to view the email confirm that created no refunds nor cancelations. I told them this was outrageous and spent several hours with their customer relations agents to only find out WoodSpring Suites was under a parent company named Choice Hotels, which no office in the United States, but El Salvador & the Philippines. So, there was no one locally or nationally I could speak regarding this issue.
I contacted FEMA's TRA toll free number but spent hours with agents who had no idea what to do so they kept transferring over and over.
I had to spend time energy and resources to get issued a new cc from my nearest bank location which was a pain. So, that this unscrupulous business doesn't charge me for their thievery later, claiming their rules and using them to charge me. I also have spent hours with FEMA seeming not knowing how to deal with fraudulent businesses they promote to disaster victims. I have reached out to file complaints with the office of the Texas Attorney General, the Texas Better Business Bureau, City of La Porte and FEMA.
Again, WoodSpring Suites in La Porte are scammers and thieves who pray on disaster victims and FEMA is too busy to not properly investigate or remove shaddy, fraudulent & unsafe businesses, instead they promote them.
My room smelled like a veterinary clinic that housed 10 dogs not to mention the whole first floor smells like paint I was unable to sleep, and my reservation was canceled abruptly without prior notice and I was overcharged
