Best WLM Reviews

I wish there's an option for a zero ⭐. I booked a room about two weeks before to stay for three months while in Evansville. I received a call from the hotel the day of my stay around ten in the morning asking me the time I was planning to arrive, I was surprised by that so I asked the caller the reason she had to check my arrival time as the check in time is listed, but she said "we usually have to call our customers to check..." that was not convincing because this was not my first time staying there, it was weird. So I arrived few minutes after 3pm went directly to check in but the lady at the desk who sounded like the person who called me, said "your room is not yet clean, our cleaning person is running late but we have a room with two beds, you can stay there until your room is ready, mostly at 5pm" so I told her that I have been driving for over 8hrs I will take that room. So the lady gave me the key card to go see the room, the room was so dirty, rusty, dusty, nasty...I came back and told her that I would rather wait in my car though the temperature was in the 90s. So she took the key card and told me that she will call me when the room is ready at 5pm. I went to my car to wait, waited until 7pm no one ever called me. I went to check what was going on. I found the same lady playing with her phone. I told her that I was waiting for her call for several hours and she replied "oh! the cleaning person is not yet here, let me call my manager..." I was so pissed off, I asked her, so why didn't you let me know so I can go find somewhere else to get rest!!! It was just.....
Where to begin. We stayed here for 8 months or so while we were down on our luck. Paying 420 dollars a week, made it almost impossible to save money to get out there, but that's not the issue for me. The issues are that the manager is very rude and unprofessional in my opinion. Not even talking about when it comes to being late on your payment because that is understandable. She never makes eye contact when speaking to you, and literally speaks to you like you're gum under her shoe. They always complain about every single little thing, but when guests have complaints about things, it goes in one ear and out the other. Chicken bones being thrown on the ground and broken beer bottles are two of the biggest complaints I had, considering I have dogs (just like a lot of people there do) those two things alone were extremely frustrating. They'd put up notes on guest doors and all over the halls and entrances about everything except those two. We're all adults, and they have trash cans...there's no need to throw things on the ground. The first floor smells like fish and a dirty hamster cage, and they don't do anything about it even though they know damn well why it smells like that. I could go on forever but I won't. I want to finish this review by saying that the majority of the staff are the sweetest and kindest people you will ever meet. Nick, Brittany, Mitzie, Kayla, Brandon and Ivy are all literal sweethearts.
I travel a lot and this place was a pit. Appeared some people use this as housing so you get a lot of noise. First, night receptionist was rude. I was tired after a long travel day and wanted to get to bed but she was too busy talking on her phone. The room had no coffee and no coffee in the lobby. Mattress was not good, no tissue or shampoo. Toilet barely flushed and the exhaust vent made banging noises all night. Nobody present when checking out so I couldn't get a receipt I needed for work. Best to close this hotel and turn it into an apartment building.
It was quiet and to me that’s huge. No slamming doors, no stomping above me. The bed was fine, shower fine. Nothing fancy but the awful smell in the hallways….ugh!
We walked in to miss RBF who looked at us like we were interrupting her. No ‘hello’, nothing. I doubt her face has ever smiled. But once she walked out the lady checking us in was very pleasant. We saw the other person several times, never doing anything but standing outside smoking but whatever. Lol.
We were just in town for one night for birthday party so my son and his girlfriend stayed with me. If my husband was with us we wouldn’t have made it past the front door. It’s a bit below our normal level.
630 a week they can definitely afford to replace a rust microwave
No fluffy pillows (lumpy, glad we had our own). Towels like rough thin cleaning rags, dirty.. asked for others. Door not adjusted after new floors. Very difficult to open. Had to walk through smokers at entrance, sign said no smoking within 8’, needs much farther. Bed very hard . Lot of dogs..dog hair everywhere.|People were friendly, although had to bring down old washcloth to prove I needed new ones. Maintenance man promptly checked and got new tv when the old one didn’t work.|Understand they were under construction but shouldn’t rent if rooms aren’t ready.
The lady at the front desk is really good at her job! She went out of her way to accommodate me in an emergency for a long stay and I got a great rate. The room is perfect for a long stay. Can't say that I had the same experience the next day with the boy at the front desk, he was rude to say the least. Rooms are no smoking but lots of contractors staying there and it always smells like Marijuana in the hallway. Other than that I'm pleased. First impression was really great.
Those of you that give bad ratings of this hotel are very wrong in your ratings???? I’ve came to a point in my life of feeling I’m not gonna have a place to live and when I found this place, it feels like home???? I wasn’t expecting the excellent hospitality they offer. I’m inbetween housing atm and if I wouldn’t have found this place it would make my life more miserable than what it is considering the high prices on fares ave ???? the hospitality I have been given from all staff has made my life less stressful and relaxed???? this place feels more of a home environment rather than board and lodge???? I thank all the staff for their excellent work and hospitality ????
