Best WLM Reviews
Stay the night and was disappointed. Definitely missed the mark on so many levels. Felt more like a college dorm room. Floor was a dirty Noisy room from above and around. Can easily hear the racetrack of I-95 close by. At best it was ehhh over all experience. Also they wouldn’t let food delivery person deliver to room Then go to leave in the morning. Had to press button to open doors to leave. Get to front desk and gate completely covered front desk with no one there. No one to actually check out with or contact anyone . It’s was middle of the morning, not 4 or 5 am when left. So is the neighbor that safe if that’s a concern?? One might think so Won’t be revisiting the chain after that experience. Good luck
Our room was gross. Active roach infestation, burn marks on the bathroom sink and deep claw marks in the floor from a dog. There were smashed roaches on the walls (see photos), we saw live roaches in the room and the entire hotel smelled of marijuana (had to bring in an air freshener from my car it was so bad). Hotel surroundings outside were rough, we were approached by an addict and many people were outside smoking. The hotel staff was accommodating for early check in and late check out, so I guess that was good. Would not stay again and do NOT recommend for families.
I booked a reservation at this hotel on the day Hurricane Milton hit Daytona Beach, seeking refuge after my home flooded. I chose this property due to its pricing and the claim on their website that they were pet-friendly. Upon arrival at 5:00 p.m., I was forced to wait in the lobby for an hour and a half before being checked in. While I understand the strain caused by the hurricane and the influx of people seeking accommodation, the unprofessionalism and rudeness of the front desk agent were inexcusable.
During my wait, I had my cat with me in a carrier, and it was clear there was a pet present as he was meowing. The front desk agent saw my cat multiple times, even commenting on the sound by sarcastically asking another guest if it was a baby crying, despite the obvious presence of my cat. When I finally reached the desk and gave my reservation details, she coldly asked if I had a cat. I confirmed, and she abruptly informed me that the hotel only accepts dogs, not cats, without even making eye contact. I explained my situation – my home had flooded, and I had lost everything. I had been driving since 4:00 a.m., and I simply needed somewhere to rest for the night. I respectfully asked if she could make an exception for one night under such extreme circumstances. She flatly refused, again without so much as looking up from her computer. I asked once more if she could bend the rules, considering the difficult situation, but she dismissed me and called the next guest to the counter, ignoring me entirely. I was stunned by her lack of empathy and basic human decency during such a difficult time. The hurricane affected us all, and some more severely than others. The agent’s attitude reflected poorly on the hotel and demonstrated a complete disregard for customer service. To make matters worse, the hotel attempted to charge my credit card multiple times for $76 for not canceling my reservation, despite the fact that they refused to check me in.
The website for this hotel chain, WoodSpring Suites, advertises itself as pet-friendly, but it wasn’t until I clicked into the specific location for Daytona Beach and read the fine print that I discovered only dogs were allowed. Given the urgency of the situation, I didn’t have time to sift through fine print in the middle of a hurricane.
Overall, I am deeply disappointed by the cold, unwelcoming, and outright rude treatment I received. This is not the type of business that cares for its customers, particularly in times of crisis. I will never stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. The management should seriously consider retraining staff in basic customer service, especially in handling guests facing emergencies.
I stayed here for a few nights with my wife, and the young lady that works at the front desk, her name is Priscilla. She was extremely helpful and her customer service was spectacular. Any and every problem we had she was able to professionally and swiftly take care of our issues and concerns. She went above and beyond and deserves this statement of recognition that I am posting here. Very well done guys please hire more people that have the patience and kindness to deal with older people like ourselves. Will be returning soon. Great job!!!
I have stayed here multiple times, everytime i have been pleased with the hotel it's self, as well as both managers(Dwayne &Kevin), frontdesk staff &housekeepers! Rooms are always clean, staff is always nice &helpful as well as accommodating! The hotel is very safe &secure also very conveniently located right in the center of Daytona(nearby food, shopping, fleamarket, mall, speedway, beach)!
DO NOT GO HERE.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
I stayed in a 1 bed, non-smoking room. When I got there it seemed to me like the people staying there were LIVING there, not staying for vacation. When I walked in, the whole place smelled like cigarettes and mold. It was disgusting. Thinking the people working there would realize the smell, they would get rid of it. I ended up getting charged for the smoking violation fee when i NEVER even smoked.
You can’t call the front desk to ask who to contact because it’s “not their end” and they WILL HANG UP ON YOU.
If I could give this place a negative 100 I would! Absolutely the worst hotel I've been to! I should have known from the environment on the outside but it was so late and I was so tired with limited places to stay I gave it a shot! As soon as I walked in the room I was greeted by several cockroachs that apparently were there to stay! You know you've heard when the lights come on the cockroaches run! Not these they were there to stay in the bed and on the counter! The bed side lights were rusted the room smelled like mold and drug residue! I'm sure the place had bed bugs! I mean seriously you couldn't pay me to stay there! I literally walked right out within seconds and they said they would refund the money ended up charging 3 days later! Stay away if you know what's good for you!
Outstanding customer service by Kevin and Priscilla. They were attentive, helpful, and very welcoming, 10 stars for each of them!
