Overall horrible rooms, dirty dead bugs everywhere, smells weird in halls and elevator, homeless man picking at his nasty feet in lobby, stayed there a few nights just for me to leave and come back to all my stuff thrown away, never said sorry or apologized, crackheads in the back doing drugs while kids run all over parking lot. Great location next to walmart but Overall horrible experience. Dirty rooms with not clean showers other people's hair all over it. Stained couch mattress not provided sheets for unsure if it was pee or blood stain, bed sheets all stained asked for new ones and still stained. After having all my stuff thrown away without notice or why. They can get a negative review. Staff was so rude at night. Not quite if your trying to sleep with dogs barking all night.
So far love it the rooms are nice plenty of spots to store your belongs there is a large microwave, 2 burners too cook on and a full size fridge. The staff is nice and helpful.. we're staying for a month will give updates at I see fit. Thanks
Currently this place is a dump, your lucky if you get a room with hangers a basket towels bedding a phone and alarm clock. Then after you might even be charged for linen 21$ they sneak it in on your bill without telling you. My advice use CASH. I brought my own blankets so I didn't need theirs if Chris the "manager" would have let me know about the hidden linen fee then that could've been a fee avoided however hidden fees are not something Chris wants paying guest to avoid. The Salvation is keeping this place loaded on 1500$ vouchers, they give them 3months to stay at the hotel and run it to the ground, so the hotel takes priority in the Homeless population vouchers. Actual leisure guest BEWARE, any amount over 35$ is to much to pay to stay here, it's a dump.The rooms are basic, the bedding is old dingy& nasty the hotel grounds are dirty trash all over the outside, the hallways &public spaces are a disgrace, filthy carpets with huge stains on all 4 floors. The Salvation Army has really ruined this hotel and it's only gonna get worse Davenport and the Mayor should be ashamed. Corporate greed is full fledged in Iowa. If Choice Hotels would get rid of the Salvation Army vouchers and their felon misbehaved mentally ill guest and clean up the carpets hallways grounds and public spaces it would be a good 47$ hotel.
Stayed 7/20/2024. I didn’t get there until about 2 am, office was closed but had a number to call. Called number and the lady came to check us in. It was as if she was in bed for the night like they don’t have a scheduled night shift? She was very nice. There were some people outside in back and it just felt weird. The room was clean, no roaches. I won’t stay here again though. Whole vibe was just off. Too bad because it looks like a nice place.
Personal stuff STOLEN out of the room. Checked in Friday night and was in Iowa City for Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon went to the room and noticed pots and pans and food was gone out of the refrigerator and cupboard above the sink. Smh what's worse is the GM admitted going into my room earlier on Tuesday, he said that a smoke alarm was going off, he also said he can run back the cameras but told the police he cant look at the cameras but could get the footage sent to them.
The absolute worst experience I have ever had.
Do Not stay there! They have nice rooms but the service is terrible! Everybody that work there got an attitude! Except for 2. I stayed there due to not having a place to go for 4 1/2 months, I regret it! The manager who’s name is Chris very unprofessional and rude he only been a manager for 6 months, seem like he need more training, he was working with me on paying later in the day due to how I got my money and from my work checks! and after awhile he started tripping about me paying at 7 at night but I never was past due or a day late….. always paid everyday so he told me to leave or he will put me and my child out in the middle of the day! & will take my stuff out himself! So we left! As he say He can’t tolerate me paying later in the day! After he agreed on me paying by the time they count their drawer! & Yes the washers are nasty, and people in the parking lot at night disturbing the people that have to work. I never washed there always went to laundromat to wash.
Only one star because I can’t give it none.
Place has BED BUGS!! looked at mattresses and they are covered in bed bug feces, crusted food, pee and blood! BED BUG crawled on pillow next to my son and we packed up and left, didn’t even last 8 hours here.
The room we were put in first the phone don’t work & the peep hole was taken out and just a napkin was shoved in there. The second room was just as disgusting and so was the third room they put us in.
The rooms floors are super sticky, other peoples hair all over beds and in beds so I doubt the bedding is changed. Seems like beds were just re made with last peoples bedding. Top comforter has blood stains from where people are being bitten by bed bugs.
DO NOT STAY HERE.
Absolutely disgusting hotel. Book a room for two weeks. If you like sharing a room with roaches this is the place for you! The hotel is filthy trach everywhere inside and out. Room looked like it has never been clean bedding was dirty shower was dirty. Had to buy my own cooking essentials plus silverware. Booked a room for two weeks I stay one night and checked out. Staying one night they still charged me for two weeks.
