Best WLM Reviews

The check-in process was smooth babe The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and professional. We proceeded to the fourth floor where a room was located. Room was bare bones yet spacious. The bathroom then much of the room for that matter was dated yet clean. I've stayed in hotels similar to this one and none of them have been as clean as this room.
The heater in our room did not work. However this is a sweet with a kitchenette so simply turning on the stove was enough to keep the chill out of the air.
Overall this is a very simple come as you are bare bones operation. If you want bells and whistles go someplace that means to give you bugs and whistles. If you need a quiet place to stay for the evening that is easy to get into and easy to be in, this could be what you're looking for.
This place is garbage. We left an hour after arriving. Doors slamming. TVs blaring. People yelling. Dogs barking. Windows outside being broken in cars. Room was disgusting. Two flat pillows for a queen bed. I wasn’t about to let my infant son stay here. I have tried to contact the property to get my money back and they refuse to return my correspondence. Gross and ghetto!!
When I checked in my room wasn't very clean. There was a lot of noise especially late @ night & the odor of burning hay. I was kicked out because my dog left a few messes on the floor when I was gone longer that expected. I cleaned up as I always do & left the floor much cleaner than it was when I arrived. It had a scum layer before that turned a paper towel black. I expect nonsense everywhere & I did find a much nicer room where I've been before without any problems @ a similar price. It all works out but because of this I paid for both one night. This place is not terrible though, just clean your floor if it is disgusting.
Positive: The smell of cigarette odor poorly masked by a cheap air freshener. All the dogs...A pet hotel perhaps? Negative: Rude management...Hung up twice on us when we lodged a complaint. The A/C couldn't cool down the room. Two hour wait to get someone to fix the TV. No lobby, no breakfast, no refunds or adjustments. Non working phone. None working stovetop. Under staffed.
Edit: We did finally get a partial refund, but less than half of what we originally paid. We paid for 7 days in advance for $585. We ended up only needing to stay one day, but we felt it fair to pay for two days for the inconvenience. They refunded us $230. Less than half. They kept 4 days worth! By my calculations they still owe us $100. Definitely taking advantage of those of us who were forced to out of our homes due to a natural disaster.
------
On July 31st a violent little storm blew thru with nearly 100mph winds. Over 220,000 homes and businesses in Omaha, NE lost power. Our house was one. Thursday Aug. 1st OPPD called to tell us it would be 12 hours before we would get our power back. That evening we went to a local coffee shop to charge our electronics and cool ourselves off. 24 hours later still no power. Friday morning it was finally announced it could take up to 8 days to get power back. So we called this hotel.
Because we knew many others were in the same predicament as us, we opted to reserve 7 days just in case. We paid the full amount upfront and moved in to wait it out.
It was not a comfortable stay. They had one spring mattress up on a very tall bed frame. It was like they were on stilts. Stilts that moved. I could not get into the beds without a step stool. As an older disabled person, it was more than a touch scary. The lone window had broken blinds. Being on the ground floor, the hole allowed outsiders to look in on us on the beds. The phone didn't work. There wasn't enough toilet paper in the bathroom. And for an extended stay, very little actual storage.
Luckily for us, our electricity was largely restored on Saturday. There were only few short outages throughout the day. Since my husband worked door dashing all night, we stayed in the room until late afternoon. Upon checking out we were told a refund for the 5 days we didn't use had to be approved by the manager on Monday.
Today is Monday Aug. 6th. My husband called the manager this morning about the refund. He told us that since we signed a contract, he was unsure corporate would allow any refund. When I voiced my anger about this on social media, I found out we were but one of many folks from Omaha who had booked rooms at this establishment thinking it would be for the long haul, but got their power back and were also being denied refunds.
I feel like this Hotel is taking advantage of people effected by a natural disaster. We spent half of my disability income on that room. Money usually reserved for bills. It's not a question of want, but need. And even though we only stayed one full day, we were perfectly fine with paying for two days because of the inconvenience.
Are we, and the other victims of the power outage who stayed at this hotel, being unreasonable in wanting refunds?
I wish I had been smart enough to read the reviews beforehand, but unfortunately I found out the hard way. Upon arrival, you are met with a gross smell which only gets worse in the room and does not go away. I was also met with a few roaches when trying to fall asleep- saw something crawling on the tv and when I got up to check, found out it was a cockroach. Also, the photos online are very deceiving. It looks nice and clean online, however in person, that is not the case. Overall, it was not a good stay and I just felt gross the entire time.
I'm staying here tonight, as in now. Super slow check in. Flip lights on and a cockroach greats me.. ok I can deal with that. Other dead bugs laying around in the bathroom like they've been sprayed and allowed to fall where they land. I usually take stairs... there's a huge puddle of obviously human pee on the landing. When to office to point this out... its locked. Locked behind a glass door and also a metal curtain. There is no way to contact anyone in the building.
This is not a hotel. It's apartments for refugees, which I'd have no problem with, but it's listed as a hotel. Once every 2 weeks they'll offer to clean your room. Wild. Obviously this bedding hasn't been changed. Really, I can live with cheap hotels. I've never seen this level. Oh, another cockroach friend ran out of the bathroom. I didnt get a pic.
I changed my 5 star to a 1 star this place is trash! We moved out I made sure our room was picked up before we left I cleaned the whole place as best I could. Before we left wlmy husband went and asked about our 100 deposit and they said it was absorbed?! I asked my husband what the heck that ment and he said that the front desk told him the system absorbed our deposit and there's nothing we can do!! That was the cherry on top of everything, besides the idiots that live there, there's roaches and nasty smells. We asked the front desk I don't know how many times to fix our toilet. I'm not coming back to this location or any woodsprings for that matter.
