Best WLM Reviews
Our family reserved two rooms for a 2-night stay (Sat-Sun). Upon arrival, the rooms were on separate floors. So, when we requested to have rooms near each other, we were offered a different type of room to replace one of them so we could at least be on the same floor. However we were told the "instead" room wasn't clean for check-in yet. We offered to come back and give them time to clean. We came back 6 hours later ( after 9 pm) and found the first room to have sticky floors and roaches crawling up the walls, on the floor, and in the kitchenette. We found the second room (the one we had waited to be cleaned) to smell like smoke, have no linens, pillows, shower curtain or toilet paper. Also, the window was open because the a/c unit did not work.
My husband went to the front desk to tell them what we had found and all the clerk could offer was to get us some linens and that she would try to fix the a/c.
When my husband told her we would like to leave and refund, she said she was not authorized to issue a refund. She said we would have to wait for the manager, who would call us on Monday...(it's currently Monday, and we haven't heard from them)
Update: My husband spoke with the manager (who commented on this review) a week later. He was very professional and apologetic. He did follow-through with his intent to resolve our issue with a refund.
I understood this stay to be a 2-star and I only booked it was a last minute resort since nothing else was available in town but the pictures are very deceiving. I left my
2-day stay EARLY and disappointed due to being disgusted by the unsanitary room conditions:
1) The pillows had yellow / brown stains
2) Comforters were very light and old with marker stains
3) The floor was not thoroughly cleaned
4) The bathroom was the worse -- the bathtub had brown stains and dirty marks, the toilet wouldn't flush, the furniture was chipped, and the sink was stained. Not to mention the walls were also dirty and the towels had other peoples hair :-(
The only reason they get one star is because the staff was really kind and welcoming. They need to shut this place down and start from scratch because it even felt sketchy at night. Multiple men just standing around smoking.
The chemicals they use to clean the place are too strong and even after a single night the smell still had not gone away. After enduring a headache for 24 hours due to the smell, ended up booking at another place. They don't offer refunds, even though we stayed for only 1 of the many nights we had reserved. So I would highly recommend staying away from this place. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as a follow up to this if they are unwilling to resolve the situation. I can understand charging for the night we stayed, but not for the rest of the week when there is an issue with the room
If 0 stars was an option, I would. Parking lot reeked of drugs. Lobby was uninviting, had someone’s clothes in a bag on a table, and no front desk person.* Building smelled like mold/mildew, hallway carpeting was almost a jump scare due to (assuming) massive water stains.
Upon entering the bedroom, can see immediately on the floor was not swept great as there was debris right as you walk in. Blinds had visible dirt/dust and human hair on it. Shower or sink had a drip that was loud. Fridge appeared clean but required some force to open(sticky). Bedding had other people’s hair on it still and I found several small cigarette burn holes on said bedding. While waiting in the room for 10 minutes to find another accommodation, also had a few gnats land on me. Bugs aren’t end of world, but definitely did not help the circumstances.
Honestly, it was initially laughable of how sad and uninviting it was. Then quickly turned into a “I need to leave before bugs invade my belongings or before I get harmed” as the level of cleanliness and vibe of place just FELT like this. Promptly checked out, went 10 minutes down the road to Wyndham. Spend the extra $20-40 as after you visit WoodSprings, ANY accommodation will feel like a Ritz hotel. I half contemplated asking for fees to be waived for cancellation but just wanted to be out and off the hook so quickly I sucked up the $70. If someone is willing to pay to leave, there are serious issues. I’ve stayed in low star accommodations before, this absolutely took the cake.
* I understand it was Thanksgiving and you could call for assistance, but overall did not help the feelings of discomfort and uneasiness.
This was the worst experience I have ever had. We immediately checked right out! The whole hotel smelt HORRIBLE. The rooms were even worse with roaches, mold, and holes in the doors. If I could put a 0 star I would. The staff was extremely rude and wouldn’t even give us a refund or help us. The pictures they advertise for the hotel are completely false advertisement. Please don’t make the mistake we did and do not book here!
Booked room online and paid through 3rd party. I get to hotel around noon and find myself waiting around 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. Used phone in lobby to call no answer. Finally the lady shows up and charges me again saying they don’t show it being paid.. still haven’t received a refund 5 days later. Multiple calls to the hotel and no answer finally talk to someone and she’s rude and has an attitude ask to speak to manager she says he’s busy that he’ll return my call but no response. Call back and they ignore and hang up my calls.
Absolutely disgusting! Rooms had mold and the fridges were like they had never been cleaned. Asked multiple times to get towels and was told no because it was after hours. Also had problems with every employee besides the manager Dee. Multiple nights we had banging and stomping from the rooms above us and the rooms beside us. Drug activity, and no sense of respect. Absolutely terrible!
I've been at the facility in Bryan/College Station Texas for almost two months now. When I moved in the light in my bathroom did not work. My toilet seat was broken. The one drawer in the kitchenette was broken. The input on my television is bad so watching television is almost impossible. The wi-fi is so weak it is mostly unusable. The security latch on the door is broken. That's illegal. |Now, after six weeks. All those things are still broken or problematic. And still, I pay the full amount in rent. NIce little scam they have going here. ||So, the advertised amenities are lies. It is false advertising and probably actionable in court as such. The staff seems to want to help, but the company that manages the property in Bryan/College Station Texas seems to not care about maintaining the property so it is out of their hands. Avoid this extended stay hotel. Avoid it at all costs. This review will be placed absolutely everywhere I can place it.
