Yes, the room is cheap, However there is an extra piece to pay. roach $99. As soon I took out my food to eat in the room the roaches wanted a piece. I was shocked, the room was clean however the hotel has roaches. Don’t be fooled and don’t home here unless you want to stay with extra guests. Most importantly, do not bring your partner/Companion here. You will be embarrassed.
The establishment's rooms are nice, but the front desk staff may charge without authorization or shorten stays despite payment. Additional fees apply for towels, toilet paper, and housekeeping. Coffee machines frequently fail, and when operational, produce inferior coffee. Alternative coffee options are available at nearby gas stations. A lost key card results in a $10 fee. However, if you're willing to take risks with your finances and hospitality experience, you may find the stay satisfactory.
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely NO amenities. No hand towels. Remote was missing the back. Queen sized bed looked like a roll-away bed. We called the desk to get an iron and ironing board. The person said she was on break and to call back. The iron would not stay hot and the ironing board was broken. Most of the time there was NO ONE at the reception desk. The bell to get the receptionists attention was behind the glass completely out of reach. The complimentary coffee machine in the lobby was out of order. Really there’s no actual lobby. The 2 receptionists we saw for only a second pretty much ignored us. Of course someone knocked on the door BEFORE checkout time. Reception desk closes at night and was closed at checkout. First, last and only time I would stay there!
Hello, I personally don’t have to stay any place else, rooms, service, location is all on point and more than anything, da entire staff is just Awesome! Jada da Manager is very professional and knows her job really well. It takes a lot to be able to manage a Hotel, not for everyone, but she definitely has been blessed to do just that. Kevin, Aaliyah, A+ for always providing me with great friendly service no matter what kind of day they may be having, always so pleasant in person and over da phone. My experience again has been nothing more but 100% satisfaction, and I’ll keep booking for personal reasons as long as I need too… Thank u all and I mean u all for nothing less than great service! Quick to take your money and quick to check you out. Usually you're charged at checkout and never have I ever had someone come knock on my door at 10 a.m. when check out is at 11 a.m. and also my key card was deactivated at 10a.m. . I was told it was a convenience for me and I laughed because it's a major inconvenience when I am trying to get stuff loaded in my car and shower and all this happening and then the two girls at the front desk look at me like they're doing me a favor and don't understand why this "convenience" is actually an inconvenience and upsetting.not only was my key card deactivated before check out but after getting a knock on door and hearing Coffee to see a woman asking if I'm staying or checking out at 10a.m. but to go to my car come back and my card doesn't work and go to front desk and let them know and the card still doesn't work. Is ridiculous. The policy if this is one is ridiculous and I will not be ever coming back
Do not be FOOLED! When we first saw this hotel online, we thought it was a fairly new and safe hotel, but we were wrong. To begin with, Jayla, who apparently is the manager, was terribly rude, unprofessional, short and snappy. Prior to checking in, we had called and she had the same demeanor even over the phone. They apparently had no rooms available at all until 3pm. When that time came around to check in, no staff were at the front desk to help at all. A coincidence? There was an entire line of people waiting and they were experiencing the same thing. Our room was booked in advanced along with many others who were turned down and told to come back at a later hour. Remind you, check in is at at 3pm! Jayla was not helpful or accommodating at all, she did not seem to have any concern or care for any guest. We were also told by current guests while waiting that if we needed help, it would take staff 2-3 hours to get back to us because they were constantly unavailable at the desk. Current guests told us they had troubles entering due to card reader issues, and nobody came to help them for hours which led them having to to yell for someone from inside to open the door for them. The card reader did not work on certain doors to enter, which guests ended up propping the doors with rocks. This fact, on its own, is so unsafe as anyone could have easily entered the hotel premises. So unsafe! Do not bring your family or kids here. The room did not have any complementary supplies such as shampoo, body wash, or towels which thankfully we had our own but that is just how careless they are with their guests. Going back, any positive reviews online about Jayla is is untrue, please do not put yourself in this situation and deal with bad customer service. On a POSITIVE note, there was a guy receptionist with dreads that was super patient, kind, and took his time to explain/ reassure us. This hotel needs better staff and an entire new business system!
For the price it’s great! I live out of hotels and for Chicago region this is dirt cheap. Will definitely be returning again next time I’m in town. Front desk does close so early checking in isn’t much of an option trust me.
Update! Im very hard to please so I’m not sure why the rating is so low. This is the best WoodSpring location in Illinois. And I’ve stayed at quite a few over the years of traveling. I always stay at a WoodSpring for the convenience of the kitchen. The manager here keeps the location very clean in and out. Very professional and she has a good staff. Laundry and fitness center always clean. I don’t have any complaints and this isn’t my first stay. ❤️
