Best WLM Reviews
Welp. It's my turn to be frankly honest, which i intend to be. This hotel is not bad for the price, if you are in a bind. Please keep in mind that this is a weekly stay hotel. A place where people have been for months in this economy. I was fortunate to only need to stay for a few weeks.
When i first checked in, yes, i got a room with roaches and spoke with the general manager Jenifer G., who did everything she could to resolve this issue. I was placed in a different room, 224, a couple doors down, which was much better. Pest control came to check on me, in the new room, after bombing my previous room. I appreciated that.
While being there, sad to say, but I noticed a variety of lifestyles, some that, bring roaches into the rooms, so I get it. Everyone isn't clean like me, but the staff truly do their best.
During the holidays, my last week, the system automatically changed the rates and forced me into an outstanding balance. I was bothered by this, being that I work hard to pay my bills. Delta, an employee, was on call when I called on Thanksgiving eve because my key was not working. He came down and handled my situation with care and was able to get it all cleared up.
This is not the place you just pop up at and get free breakfast in the morning! Because of the low prices, yes, buy your own toilet paper. Just imagine free toilet paper being given to weekly staying individuals. HEB would look like we were in a pandemic again. Seriously, people are expecting way too much for cheap nowadays. We live in the same country where prices have increased as well as YOUR demands.
Again, this is a good place, if you are in a bind. I am not a paid employee nor did anyone pay me to say this. I'm writing this because I lived at this hotel and I seen the sweat of the employees, assisting every individual (good, bad, and ugly attitudes) with care to the best of their ability. This is the truth.
Avoid this place at all costs!
I stayed at WoodSpring Suites Cedar Park - Austin North and signed a contract agreeing to pay $1,100 for the first 30 days and $950 for the second month, which included room cleaning every 15 days. However, they never cleaned my room after the first 15 days. I spent five days requesting a cleaning and for the bedding to be changed, but no one ever came.
The internet is another disaster. Despite paying for it, the connection constantly dropped and was unusable most of the time.
The rooms are poorly maintained. I had to change rooms because the toilet in the first room was broken and unusable. In the second room, I found a cockroach under the bed, which shows how poorly the rooms are cleaned or inspected.
To top it all off, when I requested a renewal, expecting the advertised $950 for the second month, they suddenly claimed it would cost $1,400 instead. I decided not to renew and left one day before my contract ended. Despite this, they still charged me an extra $65, which I cannot understand.
The overall experience was frustrating, and the lack of professionalism and transparency is appalling. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Rooms are pretty descent, really like how their kitchen appliances are stainless steel. Super convenient location, literally everything nearby. Had great experience with staff, front desk associates Neveah, Ronnie and Jenifer were super helpful.
I have been living here since March and a lot has changed good and bad , the bad being cleanliness has gone way down from when I moved in big time along with the smell of the facility some times that is a bit off putting along with dog feces in the middle of the floor in the hall or in front of doors they do spray for bugs every so often but it doesn't really do any good as you still see them .. but that's roaches for you. they have had some horrible staff who have stolen money and took card numbers from guests come and go and I feel the staff they have now is phenomenal just to say the least , and they put up with a lot of crap that is beyond their reach which people don't get but hey you can't fix stupid , by far the two main employees that go above and beyond would firstly be Ronnie I have had a few chats with the man and seen him work , he is very respectful , professional, and listens and does what he can to remedy the situation as well with a break down of why whis and why that as so they fully understand he's quick and efficient and very respectful with manners which you don't see at all these days from the younger crowd , top tier work for this gentleman. Next on the list would have to be Monica who has been here for a long time and one of the original employees since I've been here she as well is amazing and does what she can to help fix and understand by all means keep these two and take care of them . As far as management goes trust me with all the negative reviews about staff and what not , understand that the new manager Jennifer did walk into a cluster and is trying to fix it , she's easy to talk to. And way better than the last manager they had I assure you of that . As far as charges/rates go it's a bit confusing as to why the monthly rate goes down on promotion but up on the ones who have been staying there , at one time I noticed it was 48 or something for the rate which was awesome and the next I saw it went back to 55 and was told that was for the promotional rate , the next time being now the rate is 40 something again but didn't drop mine but only raised it so that's a bit confusing as to why it dropped on promotion again but raised the long term stays up that math doesn't add up to me and is a complete back pedal from the last time when we got the promotional rate for the time being that's a bit off putting and feels like prices for some are being targeted but none the less I still pay because this is my place of residence I chose when moving my business here . The wgi is definitely definitely a big joke especially to advertise free WiFi but only to not watch anything and have to pay for higher Mbps just to watch something and then have it go and buffer for an hr and then have to do it again on another device because it doesn't link to anything but the hotel TV even when you pay for the package of 2 devices, so that's grimey and penny pinching every hotel in America gives free WiFi with no payment and it's great wifi but to third party it just so they can make a buck is a bit asinine , they should have it for the whole building like every hotel in America . Other than the complaints about the company it self not the staff I rather enjoy being here and not being known where i am
This is my first time writing a review about a hotel… the worst experience I’ve ever encountered while staying at one. Roaches everywhere when we got to the room, dead and alive ones. They were on the sink, floor and even on the back of the bed. The room was non refundable so we had to stay there. We were traveling with our 4 month old so I didn’t sleep all night thinking that a roach was going to crawl on my babies face. Also when I got there the receptionist was talking to her manager(not sure) on the phone about how one of the cleaning ladies was leaving the rooms dirty and basically wasn’t doing her job properly. 0/10 do NOT RECOMMEND staying here. Cheap but at what cost? You’re better off paying a little bit more and not having to sleep with roaches.
DO NOT STAY HERE!
We arrived to the area pretty late and decided to book this hotel on a very short notice. We arrived only to find the front desk window was closed and other guests were also waited to be checked in. One lady waited 40 min prior my arrival. Luckily one lady was able to find a hotel employee but this employee had the worse attitude. Not only did she come up to the front desk with a terrible attitude but when the lady mentioned to her it was unacceptable she waited 40 min for her to come up. The employee and the guest got into a yelling and cursing match (Keep in mind the guest was in the right and the employee had no right to curse her out) nevertheless. We get checked in to get a Keycard to a room that has someone else in the room so here we are waltzing our way down, we then get to the room and there are roaches all over. Luckily we only spend the night and left right before check out. AVOID this PLACE. The reviews are all TRUE!!!!
I wish my husband would have read the reviews before booking here. Everyone is correct. You have to take your own trash out, they only clean every 2 weeks, had no clean wash cloths, TERRIBLE internet. We also had people hacking our passwords on this network. Staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful. You have to go to the front desk to get anything. They won't answer the phone. Our room phone doesn't even work. Nothing to cook with or eat on. I've stayed in 2 star hotels before and this is probably the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a place. I could keep going but I think everything is pretty well covered by everyone. I think the higher reviews are just employees or people paid to try to keep from being a 1 star. DO NOT BOOK HERE, ITS NOT WORTH IT.
The hotel was clean, very clean bathroom but the toilet didn't flush.
Hallways smelled like roach spray at night and lettuce in the morning.
Bed had a long (likely female) hair on it. But we didn't spot a single roach or bed bug and had a good night's sleep, and that's all we were really looking for.
