Hello, My Name Is Joanna H. This is my first time staying on this property WoodSpring Hotel, I moved my family here for a few weeks until our builder finishes up our new home. I checked in my room 316 on 06/01/24. When I checked in around 9:45 the Clark working informed me only one rule about smoking on the premises when checking in, nothing else! I was fine with that because I don’t smoke, and she gave me my keys. I went My room, and it was dirty, I went downstairs and told front desk, she gave me some cleaning supplies and I cleaned my room, and cleaned accordingly, she proceeded to tell me “The Manager Didn’t Check Your Room After House Keeping” I kindly laughed it off and walked away. I didn’t make a fuss nor got upset because mistakes happened. Fast forward my refrigerator went out on day two and spoiled my food and I went downstairs. I explained that to management I didn’t get upset, I didn’t make a fuss about it, and they changed my refrigerator twice. I didn’t ask for a discount nor for a replacement for my food. I just thanked them and walked away. Today my children and I went downtown Augusta for the festivities, and when we came back around 10:20pm, I noticed the laundry room door was open. I went upstairs, got my dirty towels and came downstairs and requested an exchange. The Clark had one hand on the wall and one hand on her hip and said, “No We’re Close “I said “oh I didn’t know you we’re close I saw the door open; I don’t have any clean towels my children and I just left from downtown we’re hot and sweaty, can you please exchange them for me this time”?! She replied “NO WE'RE CLOSED” I replied “ You Tell Me I Can’t Get No Towels To Bathe “ she than walk over to the towels as she was walking she said “Y’all Getting On My Damn Nerves” my face was in disbelief, the towels was behind the door almost closing the door in my face toss me the towels and closed the door and I said I Will Be Calling Corporate She heard me open the door back up and said “Girl Please” I went back to the laundry room door and knocked on the door and she’s didn’t open. I came up to my room, took a shower and tried to figure out the corporate number. My phone in my room doesn’t work, I went downstairs to take the trash out, and used the phone on the wall because I wanted to speak with a customer service representative. I heard the front desk ringing as I hung up. I walked back through the door and saw the staff and told her “YOU ARE DISRESPECTFUL” She became loud and disoriented, I Explained to Her the Amount of Rudeness and Disrespect She has given. She was clapping her hands and pointing her finger at me. I advised her several times to stop and calm down before we became physical! She told me that I had to leave, and she was calling the police on me. I stayed until the police and mgr came. We spoke about the issue to the manager, and she was 100% on the clerk’s side and didn’t care what I had to say and how the clerk disrespected me. She decided to have me removed from the property. The police, who were understanding and on my side 100% knew Clark was in the wrong. ( Part 2 Please Continue To Read Room Section)
Awesome staff, great accommodations. Will definitely recommend!!! The front desk is always courteous and extremely helpful. They really treat you like family and go the extra mile to meet the needs of their guests. They're part of why Woodspring Suites is a go to for me!
The GM Valerie is so sweet and made my stay all the better! Thank you! If you are ever in the area please stop at this place you will not be disappointed! ||I will be telling all of my family and friends about this location, I e stopped at many before but if I'm ever in this area I know where I'll lay my head!
Woodspring Suites Savannah is the best hotel in Garden City, GA. Pet friendly and convenient to the local businesses. Kenya at the front desk is helpful and friendly. She has made my extended stay super smooth. While in Garden City, GA, there's no other hotel you should choose.
Great place to stay! Clean, great location and great customer service. Very easy to check in, and the females at the counter was so sweet! excellent service provided by the Front Desk staff.Highly recommended!!! Had a great experience overall.
I'm a travel nurse from Florida. The staff are super nice here, the rooms are clean, and the prices are affordable. The location is also pretty convenient. It's about 10-15 minutes from downtown and the major hospitals.
My room smelled of cigarette smoke. It looked ok and I thought it was clean, but when I wanted to lay on the bed, I found out that the bed didn't have fresh pillowcases.... it smelled like someone's dirty hair (so I felt that maybe the bed sheets may have not been too fresh). Also, when I wen to take shower, I saw how dirty it was and couldn't takke a shower. The toilet was not clean. The tub was dirty and cabinets were dirt also the sink. The floor was not clean. I immediately went downstairs to the front desk and told the attendant. I was told that someone was going to come and clean the room in the morningbecausethe cleaninglays left for the day, no one came and I kept asking for someone to clean the room for four days until I finally spoke to the shift manager and showed hear until she sent someone and they did not do a good job cleaning it but I accepted it because I got tired of asking. Also, I was told that they clean the room weekly and that same sift manager said that they clean every two weeks and wouldn't send anyone to clean the room every after two weeks of me moving in because she sent someone to clean the room after four days like I mentioned earlier ignoring the fact that they cleaned the room after four days because it was not clean when I moved in and were supposed to come and clean it the same day. When I asked that shift manager to do it, she was very rude. I said can I speak to someone higher than you, at the bigening, she said no, I am the manager. When I said there should be someone higher than you, then yes, and her name is Kathy and she'll be here at 8:00 Monday, but today we're not going to clean the room and left me standing at the counter and went away.
I travel alot for work and I've never experience anything like that. Also, I told her that when I checked in, the manager and the lady that checked me in said that they clean the room weekly, she said that manager isn't here anymore, whatever he said doesn't apply.
Don’t fall for the paint on the outside looking "nice and new" their rooms say otherwise.
They have roaches. Killed a few when we first got in.
In fact on I think the north side of the hotel on the bottom floor one of the AC units caught fire and it’s all black n burnt from it, window was shattered as well.
Basically they masked how gross it is here. But being our circumstances we made the best of it.
Oh and the walls are paper thin. You can hear everyone above, below and next to you.
