A little gem in the Garfield town for South Indian delicacies. The food is reasonably priced with great service. The entire restaurant is vegetarian only so they were able to easily accommodate jain food. We tried chai, mirchi bhajji, paneer makhani, rawa dosa. Other friends said their mysore masala and spring dosa was also good.

The accompanying sambhar is rich and aromatic, with the perfect blend of spices that warms your soul with every bite. The idlis are soft, fluffy, and just melt in your mouth, complemented beautifully by their delicious chutneys.
On my last visit, I couldn’t resist trying their chole bhature, and it was nothing short of perfection. The bhature were light, airy, and golden, while the chole had a bold, hearty flavor that truly hit the mark. It was a dish to remember and definitely one worth returning for.
The ambiance of the cafe is cozy, and the staff is incredibly warm and attentive, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re in the mood for traditional South Indian staples or craving North Indian delights like chole bhature,woodland cafe delivers with excellence. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic, flavorful, and satisfying Indian food in New Jersey!
The food was very tasteful authentic South Indian food. 2nd visit there and many more to come. Plates and cups are flimsy single-use. Planning to take our own next time to enjoy the food better.
I’ve been here a couple of times, and the food has been great each time. It’s a no frills restaurant so you should know you’re not going for a 5 star “experience”.
I got the paneer dosa with extra paneer and they didn’t cheap out. My dosa was stuffed with quite a bit paneer and it tasted great.
My one criticism, is that we get flimsy plastic cups for water and paper dishes. That should be upgraded.
We enjoyed our weekend brunch here. This restaurant is tucked away in the silent neighborhood. Service was good and food was delicious.

Amazing food, excellent service and ambience! Would definitely visit again. Typical Bangalore vibes and pakka karnataka style food. Bought poori, Mysore masala dosa, samosa chaat and dahi vada. All tasted great. Polite and homely people. Highly recommend!
A tad bit spicy but finger licking good food with service to match. Been here a couple times and as fan of south indian food I wasnt let down. Chetan took great care of us.If u can handle the spicy but tasty level of food I highly recommend a visit.
Excellent food, we love this place. We had the pani poori, mango lassi and rava masala dosa. We have eaten at Woodlands about 10 times and each time the food and service has been excellent. We highly recommend Woodlands for any one who is looking for authentic, delicious South Indian food.
