Send my wife there for a 10 day stay for depression. If I could give less than a “1” star, I would! She arrived and sat 6 hours in community room with very little action from staff. They slowly performed the tasks to enroll her in hospital. The nurse doing the bloodwork was very unprofessional and my wife was surprised if she actually went through the training for the hygiene required to take blood. She was assigned a room 7 years later with a bed with no sheets. The paperwork indicated she would see a doctor within 24 hours, which is required to get meds and to leave unit to go eat meals. My wife was not seen by doctor for 36 hours so she lied in bed with extreme anxiety and insomnia with no relief. Once meds were prescribed she went to nurse for dispersement and asked for information sheet on each med which was not given due to printer disfunction. Nurse was not knowledgeable enough to explain med use and interactions. Took several days to get details. Also med dispersement was not consistent with meds missing or incorrectly administered. Patients MUST keep a list of meds and ensure they are administered properly every time. Also nurses did not consistently wear gloves for pill dispersement. The group sessions are a joke- they played bingo or listened to music in most sessions with only 1 group therapy session session somewhat related to treatment that is useful. There were more smoke breaks than sessions. Most nurse staff were very prejudice against white women and it was clear that if you were African American you gained better service than if another race. All community rules were broken between the staff and patients. If you were a difficult patient requiring proper care then you experienced a more rough time from staff. Very, very sad of experience and care provided for a $27,000 -10 day stay. Wife is now starting over in another program for better care. Avoid this place at all cost!!!!!!! .
The women in the front intake area are horrible. They do not care about the patient at all. They made us stay in a room for the most part of 6 hours. They even refused to come when we pushed the call button for help. This place made my depression and anxiety high and I was there for my daughter. Even my child was asking why they were ignoring us and making us wait in a room with a couple of chairs for hours. Once I voiced my concerns it fell on deaf ears. I had to insist we wanted to leave immediately for them to do anything. The way they treat people is disgusting. However I did get to talk to a supervisor and someone from the back where the kids are housed, and they were very sweet and concerned. Front of house needs to be taken care of.
I don’t know what everybody else is talking about, but I was a patient there for two weeks in March of this year and then did outpatient ECT treatments for a while. Every single member of the staff was freaking amazing. They were so caring! Like they literally went above and beyond, what you would expect I have gone to four other hospitals before this in my life and this was like staying in a luxury hotel compared to the other roach motels that I stayed in. It was so clean and the schedule was so organized and everyone was so supportive . I don’t have anything too bad to say about this hospital. If you need help, I strongly urge you to choose this hospital and Doctor Rupa. They literally saved my life♥️
My experience with Woodland Springs was nothing short of a nightmare, and I urge anyone considering this facility to read this review carefully before making a decision.
My mother was admitted to Woodland Springs for two weeks, during which she signed a Release of Information (ROI) form so I could be involved in her care. Yet, throughout her entire stay, I was left completely in the dark. For one, my mother had a seizure, and neither me nor her husband were informed. Repeatedly, I tried to contact the facility. They NEVER answer their phones, and even worse, they never left any messages or returned my calls.
For two weeks, I was unable to obtain even the most basic information regarding her intake or discharge paperwork--documents that were crucial to me. When I finally managed to reach the medical records department, I explained to them that I needed my mother's paperwork urgently or I risked losing my job. Instead of helping me, the person I spoke to hung up on me.
(By the way, if you ever have trouble reaching this department, the ext. is 2012)
Two weeks after my mother was discharged, we finally received her paperwork, and to by absolute horror, it wasn't even hers. We were sent another patient's entire medical history, including the medications they are currently on. This is not only deeply unethical but also a gross violation of patient privacy.
Let this be the review that makes the decision for you: DO NOT COME HERE.
The incompetence, lack of communication, and disregard for basic patient confidentiality are simply unacceptable. Take your loved one's care elsewhere.
First time I pulled my daughter out AMA was due to her having a body image issue and one of the doctors telling her she had gained alot of weight. 2 weeks ago she needed help again so I gave them another shot and last night I got a phone call from her crying saying she wants to leave. Apparently the kids I. Her unit were running wild! Kids jumping over nurses desk, kids punching walls and fighting, blood all over the place.we were not the only parents that got this phone call from thier child and decided to pull them out of the unsafe environment. I will never send her back to inpatient here!
Do not entrust them with your child. I had a very high opinion of this facility prior to recent events. When seeking help for our daughter, we have been stonewalled when trying to reach *anyone* to return a simple phone call or transfer records. Their staff, with few exceptions, is unprofessional, disinterested, and incompetent.
My child has been there for a week and neither parent has spoken with their contract-worker psychiatrist. They do not have medical doctors on staff. Just fly-by-night, unreachable temps.
Update. My BF was sent home and didn't have all his belongings. No one will help. Called them Monday and still no call by Wednesday. Services were great but everything else sucked. They did not return medication or his vape. Very disappointed
This place is a joke. They will not communicate with the family. No one returns phone calls and they do not give patient messages that are left on recording. Sad that they say they want to help people but alienate the family. The one person I did talk to after having to push a number for help was very rude and disrespectful. Very disappointed would give 0 stars if able to.
Woodland springs is by far one of the worst places you could take you loved one. They never answer the phones if you’re calling for an update, they will never call you back no matter how many times you ask, and the nurses they have on staff are heartless, rude and unprofessional. One in particular, Patricia, was one of the most unkind nurses I’ve ever had to deal with at this facility. She made my loved ones stay extremely difficult on top of being extremely difficult when I called for an update. Beyond all of this there were numerous situations that occurred where the nurses and tech were not watching the patients and some even ended up getting injured!!!! WHILE A TECH WAS PLAYING GAMES ON HER PHONE!! even more so, the nurses and techs laugh and make up of the patients and gossip about them as well. Overall the experience my partner and I had at this facility was terrible. Will never return. That being said I would like to recognize the front desk woman Abbey and Nurse Pamela.. these two amazing women were the ONLY ones who tried to help the best they could and to help answer some of my questions to the best of their ability. I am very grateful for their positions in Woodland springs.
